Academic Member definition

Academic Member means a Member Entitled to Hold Office who in the reasonable opinion of the Board is, or was during a significant portion of their career, principally engaged in either research or formal teaching or another scholarly undertaking in a field of psychology for or in conjunction with a higher education institution;
Academic Member means a member of Council who has been Selected from among registrants who are Faculty;
Academic Member means a Member that is an entity that is a university, college, cegep or research institution in Canada recognized as eligible for federal funding according to the rules of eligibility outlined by the Canadian Tri-Council;

  • Each Educational and Academic Member, while in good standing, shall be entitled to: (a) subject to such limitations as the Board of Directors may define in its sole discretion from time to time, appoint non-voting representatives to participate as observers in each Working Group established by the Corporation; (b) access to all Standards; and (c) the rights specified in Section 2.6(e) above.

Academic Member means a university, non-profit organization, Department of Energy (DOE) National Laboratory, or other US government entity. The membership fee for Academic members is waived.
Academic Member means a Member who, in accordance with these Rules is categorised as an academic Member of the College;
