ACCESS TO PROJECT. The AOC shall, at all times, have access to the Project while it is in preparation or in progress. Contractor shall provide safe and proper facilities for such access.

Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals are not Contract Documents. Their purpose is to demonstrate those portions of the work for which submittals are required and the way the Contractor proposes to conform to the information given and the design concept expressed in the Contract Documents. Review by the AOC is subject to the limitations stated herein. Contractor shall review, approve and submit to the AOC all Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals required by the Contract Documents within the number of days set forth in the Contract Documents. Submittals for finishes shall be submitted in a sequence so as to cause no delay in the progress of the Work or in the activities of the AOC or separate contractors. Submittals that are not required by the Contract Documents may be returned to the Contractor without action. Contractor shall perform no portion of the Work requiring submittal(s) and review of Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples or similar submittals until the respective submittal has been reviewed by the AOC. Such Work shall be in accordance with reviewed submittals. By submitting Shop Drawings, Product Data, Samples and similar submittals, the Contractor represents that the Contractor has determined and verified materials, field measurements and related field construction criteria, and has checked and coordinated the information contained within the submittal(s) with the requirements of the Contract Documents. Contractor shall not be relieved of the responsibility for any deviation from the requirements of the Contract Documents by the AOC's review of submittals unless the Contractor has specifically informed the AOC, in writing, of such deviation at the time of submittal, and the AOC has given written consent to the specific deviation. The AOC's review shall not relieve the Contractor of responsibility for errors or omissions in submittals. Contractor shall respond per requirements of the Contract Documents, in writing or on resubmitted submittals, to revisions other than those requested by the AOC on previous submittals. After the second resubmittal of a specific item, that is still not accepted, the Contractor will be charged all costs of submittal review.
