Annual Holidays definition

Annual Holidays. Because the Employee works on a basis that is so intermittent or irregular that it is impracticable for the Employer to provide annual holidays, the Employee agrees that: The Employee shall be paid annual holiday pay at a rate of 8 percent of the Employee’s gross earnings (less PAYE) with and on top of the Employee’s regular pay; and The Employer shall provide for such payment to be an identifiable component of the Employee’s regular pay.

  • Flexible leave shall be governed in other respects by section 27 of the Annual Holidays Act with the exception that the time of the said leave shall be agreed.

  • The duration and continuity of employment shall be determined in the same way as eligibility for benefits under the Annual Holidays Act.

  • The system of saved leave shall be governed by section 27 of the Annual Holidays Act20 and by the following regulations.

  • Section 1 Scope Annual holiday benefits shall be determined in accordance with the Annual Holidays Act12 and with this agreement.

  • For flexibility leave, Section 27 of the Annual Holidays Act will be observed, the date of the flexibility leave is subject to mutual agreement.

  • Neither these regulations nor the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act13 shall in any way apply to part-time hourly-paid teachers at training schools.

  • Legal Holiday means a Saturday, a Sunday or a day on which banking institutions in the City of New York or at a place of payment are authorized by law, regulation or executive order to remain closed. If a payment date is a Legal Holiday at a place of payment, payment may be made at that place on the next succeeding day that is not a Legal Holiday, and no interest shall accrue for the intervening period.

  • Holiday means the twenty-four (24) hour period commencing at 0001 hours of a day designated as a paid holiday in this Agreement.

  • Holidays are defined as New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

  • Bank Holiday means any day that is specified or proclaimed as a bank holiday, pursuant to section 1 of the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971;

  • Weekday means Monday – Friday.

  • Working Day means a day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) on which banks are open for general business in the City of London.

  • Afternoon shift means any shift finishing after 6.00pm and at or before midnight.

  • Unscheduled Holiday means a day that is not a Settlement Business Day and the market was not aware of such fact (by means of a public announcement or by reference to other publicly available information) until a time later than 9:00 a.m. local time in the principal financial centre of the Specified Currency two Settlement Business Days prior to the relevant Rate Fixing Date. As soon as the Calculation Agent is aware of such an Unscheduled Holiday, they shall inform the Issuer promptly.

  • Week means seven consecutive days.

  • Workweek means any week during which a Class Member worked for Defendant for at least one day, during the Class Period.

  • Weekend means a Saturday and the following Sunday, assuring a minimum of fifty-six (56) hours off duty;

  • Annual Period means each twelve (12) month period commencing on the Effective Date and, thereafter, on each anniversary of the Effective Date.

  • Annual Renewal Date means the date in any calendar year, subsequent to the year in which the Policy comes into effect, corresponding numerically with the Policy Commencement date in that subsequent year.

  • Day means calendar day.

  • Annual Leave and Clause 6.3 “Personal (Sick) Leave” of this Agreement.

  • Semi-Annual Period means each of: the period beginning on and including January 1 and ending on and including June 30; and the period beginning on and including July 1 and ending on and including December 31.

  • Vacation Year means the twelve (12) month period commencing on the first (1st) day of April in each calendar year and concluding on the thirty-first (31st) day of March of the following calendar year.

  • Weeks Pay' means the ordinary time rate of pay for the employee concerned:

  • Non-working Day means any day upon which an employee, pursuant to the terms of the contract of employment, is not available to the employer for the purposes of rostering the ordinary hours of work.
