CAISO Energy definition

CAISO Energy means “Energy” as defined in the Tariff.
CAISO Energy means with respect to a Transaction, a Product under which the Seller shall sell and the Buyer shall purchase a quantity of energy equal to the hourly quantity without Ancillary Services (as defined in the Tariff) that is or will be scheduled as a schedule coordinator to schedule coordinator transaction pursuant to the applicable tariff and protocol provisions of the California Independent System Operator (“CAISO”) (as amended from time to time, the “Tariff”) for which the only excuse for failure to deliver or receive is an Uncontrollable Force (as defined in the Tariff). “WECC” means the Western Electricity Coordinating Council. “WSPP” means the Western Systems Power Pool. “WSPP Agreement” means the Western Systems Power Pool Agreement as amended from time to time. “West Firm” or “WSPP Firm” means with respect to a Transaction, a Product that is or will be scheduled as firm energy and consistent with the most recent rules adopted by the WECC for which the only excuses for failure to deliver or receive are if an interruption is (i) due to an Uncontrollable Force as provided in Section 10 of the WSPP Agreement; or (ii) where applicable, to meet Seller's public utility or statutory obligations to its customers. Notwithstanding any other provision in this Master Agreement, if Seller exercises its right to interrupt to meet its public utility or statutory obligations, Seller shall be responsible for payment of damages for failure to deliver firm energy as provided in Article Four of this Agreement.

  • At least 4 of these instances must have occurred in response to a grid emergency event signal (these include Emergency Load Reduction Program events, Demand Side Grid Support Program events, CAISO Energy Emergency Alerts, critical peak pricing events if the customer’s rate uses critical peak pricing, and any hour when the customer’s electricity rate exceeds $1/kWh).

  • Product does not confer to Buyer any right to dispatch the Project or receive CAISO Energy or Ancillary Services revenues from the Project.

Terms that are capitalized, but not defined in this definition shall have the meaning ascribed to them in the CAISO Tariff. “CAISO Tariff” means the California Independent System Operator Corporation Agreement and Tariff, Business Practice Manuals (BPMs), and Operating Procedures, including the rules, protocols, procedures and standards attached thereto, as the same may be amended or modified from time-to-time and, to the extent subject to Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (“FERC”) approval, as approved by FERC. “City’s Compliance Officer” has the meaning set forth in Section 4.08.020 of the San ▇▇▇▇ Municipal Code. “Flat” means all hours beginning 0 to HE 24, Monday through Sunday, including NERC holidays. “HE” means hour ending. “Inter-SC Trade” or “IST” has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff. “MW” means megawatt. “MWh” means megawatt-hour. “Off-Peak” means HE 01-06, 23-24 PPT Mon-Sat, HE 01-24 Sun and NERC Holidays. “On-Peak” means HE 07-22 PPT Mon-Sat, exc. NERC Holidays.
