Covered Job definition

Covered Job means any entry-level job as determined by the First Source Referral System (“Entry Level”) for which at least half of work hours are performed on–Site, except for jobs for which hiring procedures are governed by a collective bargaining agreement that conflicts with the First Source Hiring Program described in this Program. If the Implementation Committee determines that the First Source Referral System has capacity to refer substantial numbers of Targeted Applicants in categories other than Entry Level jobs, then Covered Jobs shall also mean jobs in such categories.
Covered Job means [DESCRIPTION OF UNIVERSE OF JOBS COVERED, e.g. “any job for which at least fifty percent of the work hours during any calendar year are performed on the Project Site”]
Covered Job means any job for which the work site is located on–Site, except for jobs for which hiring procedures are governed by a collective bargaining agreement that conflicts with the First Source Hiring Policy described in this Document.

Examples of Covered Job in a sentence

  • Employers shall promptly inform the First Source Referral System once a Covered Job is filled, and whether or not the Employer hired a Targeted Job Applicant for that position.

  • Prior to hiring for any Covered Job, an Employer will notify the First Source Referral System of available job openings and provide a description of job responsibilities and qualifications, including expectations, salary, work schedule, duration of employment, required standard of appearance, and any special requirements (e.g. language skills, drivers’ license, etc.

  • When hiring employees for any Covered Job prior to commencement of an Employer’s operations in the Project Site, an Employer will hire only qualified Targeted Job Applicants for a three-week period following the notification of job opportunities described in Section III.C.1, above.

  • When making hires after the commencement of operations in the Project, an Employer will for any Covered Job hire only Targeted Job Applicants for a five-day period following the notification of job opportunities described in Section III.C.1, above.

  • No later than six months prior to initial hiring for any Covered Job by an Employer, that Employer shall provide to the First Source Referral System its best available estimate of the approximate number and type of jobs that will need to be filled and the basic qualifications necessary.

  • No later than ninety (90) days prior to hiring for any Covered Job, an Employer must notify the First Source Referral System of available positions and provide a description of work responsibilities and qualifications, including expectations, salary, work schedule, duration of employment, required standard of appearance, and any special requirements (e.g., language skills, drivers license, etc.).

  • When hiring employees or contracting with independent contractors for any Covered Job in the Project Area, an Employer must reserve (.1) sixty percent (60%) of jobs for Low-Income Individuals, or Moderate-Income Individuals, or unemployed members of any Construction Trades unions residing in the Community, and (.2) an additional twenty-five percent (25%) of jobs for Low-Income Individuals or Moderate-Income Individuals residing in the Neighboring Communities (together, the “Employment Goal”).

  • No later than six months prior to initial hiring for any Covered Job by an Employer, that Employer shall provide to the First Source Referral System the approximate number and types of jobs that will need to be filled and the basic qualifications necessary.

  • The Corporation may impose stop-transfer instructions with respect to the Registrable Securities or other securities subject to the foregoing restriction until the end of the standoff period.


More Definitions of Covered Job

Covered Job means any job or position, whether held by an employee or an independent contractor, for which at least half of the work hours are performed within the Project Area, as determined by the First Source Referral System. Covered Jobs shall not include positions for which hiring procedures are governed by a collective bargaining agreement that conflicts with the First Source Hiring Program.
Covered Job means any job for which the work site is located on-site, except for jobs for which hiring procedures are governed by a collective bargaining agreement that conflicts with the First Source Hiring Policy described in this Document.

Related to Covered Job

  • Covered veteran means an individual who was a member of the Armed Forces (including a member of the National Guard or Reserves), and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable at any time during the five-year period prior to the first date the eligible employee takes FMLA leave to care for the covered veteran.

  • Covered Dependent means a Dependent whose coverage is in effect. It does not include a Dependent whose coverage has ended.

  • Covered employer means the City of Cambridge or a Beneficiary of Assistance.

  • Covered position means a position in which the employee must be a member of the retirement
