Current continuous employment definition

Current continuous employment means a period of employment or serv- ice immediately preceding an action under this part in the same or similar positions without a break in Federal civilian employment of a workday.
Current continuous employment means no break or interruption in the employee’s assignment in current rank; a “break” or “interruption” includes a demotion for any length of time and certain leaves of absences.
