Disabilities Services Division. A division of County administering programs to enhance the quality of life for individuals with physical, sensory and developmental disabilities and their support networks living in Milwaukee County by addressing the participant’s identified needs and meeting her/his desired individual outcomes and providing individualized opportunities to participate in the community.
Disabilities Services Division. A division of the MCDHHS administering programs to enhance the quality of life for individuals with physical, sensory and developmental disabilities and their support networks living in Milwaukee County by addressing the participant’s identified needs and meeting her/his desired individual outcomes and providing individualized opportunities to participate in the community. “Family Intervention Support and Services” (FISS) – program under contract with the Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare to coordinate the delivery of services to intact families exhibiting a need for resources/services for their adolescent, ages twelve (12) to seventeen (17) in Milwaukee County. “Milwaukee County Department of Health and Human Services” (DHHS) – A governmental subunit of Milwaukee County created by action of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors as authorized by state statute to provide or purchase care or treatment services for residents of Milwaukee County. The Department of Health and Human Services consists of the following six divisions: Economic Support, Delinquency and Court Services, Disabilities Services, Management Services, Behavioral Health and County Health Programs. The mission of DHHS is to secure human services for individuals and families who need assistance in living a healthy, independent life in our community.

Examples of Disabilities Services Division in a sentence

  • Adult Day Services are provided by agencies approved by the Developmental Disabilities Services Division (DDSD) of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) that have a valid Oklahoma Health Care Authority contract for providing Adult Day Services.

  • Upon approval of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) Developmental Disabilities Services Division (DDSD) director or designee, persons younger than18 may be served.

  • Supported employment services means provision of job training and supervision available to assist an individual who needs intensive ongoing support to choose, get, and keep a job in a community business setting. Supported employment is a service planned in partnership with public vocational assistance agencies and school districts and through Social Security Work Incentives when available.

  • Employment Services means "employment services" as defined in OAR 411-345-0020.

  • Employment services organization means an organization that provides community-based employment services to individuals with disabilities that is an approved Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited vendor of the Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services.

  • Appropriate office of the State employment service system means the local office of the federal-state national system or public employment offices with assigned responsibility for serving the area where the employment opening is to be filled, including the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.

  • Health and Human Services Commission or “HHSC” means the administrative agency established under Chapter 531, Texas Government Code, or its designee.

  • Mental health services provider means an individual, licensed or unlicensed, who performs or purports to perform mental health services, including a:

  • self-employment route means assistance in pursuing self-employed earner’s employment whilst participating in—

  • Termination of Services means Participant’s Termination of Consultancy, Termination of Directorship or Termination of Employment, as applicable.

  • employment zone means an area within Great Britain designated for the purposes of section 60 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 and an “employment zone programme” means a programme established for such an area or areas designed to assist claimants for a jobseeker’s allowance to obtain sustainable employment;

  • Disability Termination means the termination of a Participant’s employment under the disability provisions of the Participant’s Employment Agreement or, if the Participant is not a party to an Employment Agreement, then as a result of a “Disability” as defined in the Plan.

  • Professional sports services contract means an agreement under which an individual is employed as a professional athlete or agrees to render services as a player on a professional sports team or with a professional sports organization.

  • Home health aide services means the personal care and maintenance activities provided to individuals for the purpose of promoting normal standards of health and hygiene.

  • Public employees retirement system means the retirement plan and program

  • Employment Termination means the effective date of: (i) Executive’s voluntary termination of employment with the Company with Good Reason, or (ii) the termination of Executive’s employment by the Company without Good Cause.

  • Outpatient services means those services rendered in a practitioner’s office or in the department of an approved facility where services are rendered to persons who have not had an overnight stay and are not charged for room and board.

  • Student with a disability is defined as an individual who: ● is still enrolled in secondary school and has not exited, graduated, or withdrawn; ● is at least 14 years old but less than 22; ● and has a disability (i.e., receives services under an IEP or 504 plan, or has a disability for purposes of section 504). The limited Pre-ETS that may be provided, based on identified need and the availability of services, include: ● Job exploration counseling ● Work-based learning experiences, which may include in-school or after school opportunities, experiences outside of the traditional school setting, and/or internships ● Counseling on opportunities for enrollment in comprehensive transition or post- secondary educational programs ● Workplace readiness training to develop social skills and independent living ● Instruction in self-advocacy Authorizations for Pre-ETS. DORS only pays for Pre-ETS services that have been previously authorized by a DORS official in writing. Pre-ETS Reporting: Completion of the Pre-Employment Transition Services Progress Report (Rs10f), Work Based Learning Experience Agreement (Rs10g), Work Based Learning Experience on site workplace readiness Training Report (Rs10e), or approved alternative form is required at the conclusion of the training or at agreed upon intervals.

  • Outplacement Services means professional outplacement services determined by the Employer to be suitable to the Executive’s position. The maximum amount that the Employer will pay for such services is set forth on the first page of the Agreement. The outplacement services shall be made available until the earlier of (i) such time as the aggregate cost to the Employer of the outplacement services reaches the maximum amount specified on the first page of the Agreement, and (iii) the date on which the Executive obtains another full-time job. The Employer will not pay the Executive cash in lieu of professional outplacement services.

  • Administration Services means the services required for the effective and efficient administration of Bonitas and includes, but are not necessarily limited to, member record management, contribution management, benefit option management, claims processing and management, management of members’ personal, claims and financial information and any other services that are required for the administration of Bonitas;

  • Community Developmental Disability Program (CDDP means an entity that is responsible for planning and delivery of services for individuals with developmental disabilities in a specific geographic service area of the state operated by or under a contract with the Division or a local mental health authority.

  • Medically Necessary Services means those covered services that are, under the terms and conditions of the contract, determined through contractor utilization management to be:

  • Employment Business means as per the Employment Agencies Xxx 0000 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, an Employment Business is a business that offers contracts of employment to temporary workers, whose services are then temporarily offered on secondment to Framework Public Bodies.

  • Consultancy Services means the Consultancy Services described in Schedule A;

  • Inpatient services means services provided to you as an admitted inpatient in a recognised private or public hospital for treatment that is in an included clinical category, has a Medicare item number allocated and a Medicare benefit is payable.

  • Self-employment shall be where a Claimant sets up his/her own business and is responsible for paying his/her tax and National Insurance.

  • Customized employment means an approach to supported employment which individualizes the employment relationship between employees and employers in ways that meet the needs of both. Customized employment is based on an individualized determination of the strengths, needs, and interests of the person with a disability and is also designed to meet the specific needs of the employer. Customized employment may include employment developed through job carving, self-employment or entrepreneurial initiatives, or other job development or restructuring strategies that result in job responsibilities being customized and individually negotiated to fit the needs of the individual with a disability. Customized employment assumes the provision of reasonable accommodations and supports necessary for the individual to perform the functions of a job that is individually negotiated and developed.

  • Health and Human Services or “HHS” includes HHSC and DSHS.
