Disability Period - The period in which an employee cannot continuously perform the essential duties of any position available in accordance with the priority placement criteria of the Rehabilitation and Re-Employment Procedure.
After benefits have been paid for the Regular Occupation Total Disability Period of any continuous disability you will be considered “totally disabled” for the balance of the period of disability if you are unable to engage in any occupation or perform work for compensation or profit for which you are, or may become, reasonably fitted by training, education or experience.
DEFINITION OF TOTAL DISABILITY You will be considered “totally disabled” if you are wholly and continuously unable to perform any and every duty pertaining to your regular occupation during the Qualifying Period and the Regular Occupation Total Disability Period shown in the Schedule of Benefits.
