DS Load definition

DS Load means the net total default service customer sales at the retail meter, plus any transmission and distribution losses and Unaccounted for Energy, adjusted for PJM's derating in conjunction with marginal loss implementation as appropriate, expressed in MWh or MW, as appropriate, for a particular class(es) of retail customers being served by Buyer pursuant to the PaPUC Orders, as such sales vary from hour to hour, in Buyer’s Pennsylvania franchise service territory, as such territory exists on the Effective Date or may increase or decrease due to de minimis geographic border changes to the service territory that exists on the Effective Date, less excess generation purchased from net metering (customer generation) and less supply the Company is obligated to purchase pursuant to the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act (“PURPA”). Additionally, with respect to the Residential Customer Group, less a fractional percentage of committed energy and capacity obtained under long-term contract with Allegheny Electric Cooperative, Inc. for supply from the New York Power Authority (“NYPA”) and less Block Supply. For the purposes of this Agreement, Time-of-Use load will not be included in the calculation of DS Load unless required by an appropriate order of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission. Default Service Solicitation (“DS Solicitation”) – The competitive bidding processes, procedures and rules employed by the Company to competitively procure DS Supply for purposes of this Agreement.
DS Load. Means the total sales at the retail meter, plus any losses and Unaccounted For Energy (as defined by PJM), as reflected in PJM settlement volumes (including adjustments required by PJM for PJM’s derating in conjunction with implementation of marginal losses as appropriate per PJM Agreements), expressed in MWh of retail customers in a particular class of DS Customers being served by Company pursuant to the PUC Orders, as such sales vary from hour to hour, in Company’s Pennsylvania franchise service territory, as such territory exists on the Effective Date or may increase or decrease due to de minimis geographic border changes to the service territory that exists on the Effective Date. The DS Load is net of any reduction in load as a result of energy efficiency and demand side response programs offered by Company, PJM, curtailment service providers, or other third parties, or any retail market programs. For avoidance of doubt, DS Load shall not include (i) the amount of load that would otherwise have been served in the absence of such energy efficiency or demand side response programs or retail market programs; or (ii) sales resulting from changes in the Company’s Pennsylvania service territory which occur as a result of a merger, consolidation, or acquisition of another entity which has a franchised service territory in
DS Load means the net total default service customer sales at the retail meter, plus any transmission and distribution losses and Unaccounted for Energy, adjusted for PJM's derating in conjunction with marginal loss implementation as Default Service Solicitation (“DS Solicitation”) – The competitive bidding processes, procedures and rules employed by the Company to competitively procure DS Supply for purposes of this Agreement. Default Service Supplier (“DS Supplier”) – An entity that (i) has been selected through the DS Solicitation and has accepted the obligations and associated rights to provide DS Supply to the Company for DS Customers in accordance with the Applicable Legal Authorities, (ii) has entered into this Agreement with the Company as a Party, and (iii) is a PJM Member and registered with PJM as an LSE. Default Service Supplier Responsibility Share (“DS Supplier Responsibility Share”) Default Service Supply (“DS Supply”) – Shall mean Full Requirements Service as detailed in Appendix C that the DS Supplier is required to provide in order to meet the DS Supplier’s DS Supplier Responsibility Share. Delivery Period – The period of months, as specified on an executed Transaction Confirmation, where a DS Supplier has an obligation to provide service. Delivery Point – Means the applicable zone or aggregate of the Company as designated by PJM and set forth in the Transaction Confirmation.

Examples of DS Load in a sentence

  • The fixed percentage share of the Company’s DS Load for which the DS Supplier is responsible as set forth in Appendix C.

  • The DS Supplier also acknowledges and agrees that the Company may need to act in response to governmental or civil authority directives which may affect DS Load.

  • The procedures for transmitting load obligation data to PJM for DS Supplier’s DS Load shall be as set forth by PJM.

  • Residential - XX tranches; Tranche Percentage: X.X% per Tranche Small Commercial - XX tranches; Tranche Percentage: X.X% per Tranche Consolidated Large Commercial and Industrial - XX tranches; Tranche Percentage: X.X% per Tranche Fixed percentage share of DS Load for DS Customer Group associated with Transaction Confirmation.

  • This includes four percent (4%) of the actual hourly energy required for DS Load for the applicable delivery period as well as four percent (4%) of the PJM capacity requirement for the applicable delivery period.

  • The procedures for transmitting load obligation data to PJM for the DS Supplier’s DS Load shall be as set forth by PJM.

  • The Company and the DS Supplier acknowledge and agree that (1) the Company shall determine the DS Load, (2) the Company shall allocate the DS Supply obligation using the DS Supplier Responsibility Share, (3) the Company shall provide the DS Supplier’s DS Supply obligation to PJM, and (4) the DS Supplier shall be responsible for meeting its DS Supply obligations as an LSE under the PJM Agreements.

Related to DS Load

  • Site Host Load means the electric energy produced by or associated with the Facility that serves electrical loads (that are not Station Use) of Seller or one or more third parties conducted pursuant to California Public Utilities Code Section 218(b).

  • Network Load means the load that a Network Customer designates for Network Integration Transmission Service under Tariff, Part III. The Network Customer’s Network Load shall include all load (including losses) served by the output of any Network Resources designated by the Network Customer. A Network Customer may elect to designate less than its total load as Network Load but may not designate only part of the load at a discrete Point of Delivery. Where an Eligible Customer has elected not to designate a particular load at discrete points of delivery as Network Load, the Eligible Customer is responsible for making separate arrangements under Tariff, Part II for any Point-To-Point Transmission Service that may be necessary for such non-designated load.

  • Service Users means each person who is referred or presents to the Provider as part of the provision of the Services;

  • Signaling System 7 (SS7 means a signaling protocol used by the CCS Network.

  • Interconnection Service Agreement means an agreement among the Transmission Provider, an Interconnection Customer and an Interconnected Transmission Owner regarding interconnection under Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI.

  • Bandwidth means a distributor’s defined tolerance used to flag data for further scrutiny at the stage in the VEE process where a current reading is compared to a reading from an equivalent historical billing period. For example, a 30 percent bandwidth means a current reading that is either 30 percent lower or 30 percent higher than the measurement from an equivalent historical billing period will be identified by the VEE process as requiring further scrutiny and verification;

  • VPN means a virtual private network.

  • Customer Facility means Generation Facilities or Merchant Transmission Facilities interconnected with or added to the Transmission System pursuant to an Interconnection Request under Subpart A of Tariff, Part IV.

  • Merchant Network Upgrades means additions to, or modifications or replacements of, physical facilities of the Interconnected Transmission Owner that, on the date of the pertinent Transmission Interconnection Customer’s Upgrade Request, are part of the Transmission System or are included in the Regional Transmission Expansion Plan.

  • Beam monitoring system means a system designed and installed in the radiation head to detect and measure the radiation present in the useful beam.

  • Monitoring System means a system established by BNY to fulfill the Responsibilities specified in clauses (d) and (e) of Section 1 of Article III of this Agreement.

  • Customer System means the Customer's computing environment (consisting of hardware, software and/or telecommunications networks or equipment) used by the Customer or the Supplier in connection with this Contract which is owned by or licensed to the Customer by a third party and which interfaces with the Supplier System or which is necessary for the Customer to receive the Services;

  • Capacity Interconnection Rights means the rights to input generation as a Generation Capacity Resource into the Transmission System at the Point of Interconnection where the generating facilities connect to the Transmission System.

  • Interconnection Service(s) means any Interconnection, Resale Services, 251(c)(3) UNEs, Collocation, functions, facilities, products or services offered under this Agreement.

  • Customer Interconnection Facilities means all facilities and equipment owned and/or controlled, operated and maintained by Interconnection Customer on Interconnection Customer’s side of the Point of Interconnection identified in the appropriate appendices to the Interconnection Service Agreement and to the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, including any modifications, additions, or upgrades made to such facilities and equipment, that are necessary to physically and electrically interconnect the Customer Facility with the Transmission System.

  • Transportation Service Agreement means the contract between KUB and the Customer whereby KUB agrees to provide transportation gas service to the Customer.

  • Services Contract means an agreement for the provision of Services entered into with a Provider by one or more of the Partners in accordance with the relevant Individual Scheme. Service Users means those individual for whom the Partners have a responsibility to commission the Services. SOSH means the Secretary of State for Health.

  • Terrestrial means to live on or grow from land.

  • DS-1 A service having an absolute digital signal speed of 1.544 Mbps. DS-3: A service having an absolute digital signal speed of 44.736 Mbps. Duct: A pipe, tube or conduit through which cables or wires are passed. Dynamic 911: The provision of E911 service utilizing a call processing arrangement with pseudo ANIs for non call-path associated signaling and routing commonly associated with the delivery of mobile, nomadic or out-of-region calls.

  • Service Line means any electric supply line through which electricity is, or is intended to be, supplied:

  • Transportation Services means travel assistance given to an individual

  • Customer Equipment means hardware, software, systems, cabling and facilities provided by you and used in conjunction with the Equipment that we supply to you in order to receive the Services;

  • Service Lateral means an underground facility that is used to transmit, distribute, or furnish gas, electricity, communications, or water from a common source to an end-use customer. A service lateral is also an underground facility that is used in the removal of wastewater from a customer’s premises.

  • Supplier System means the information and communications technology system used by the Supplier in performing the Services including the Software, the Equipment and related cabling (but excluding the Customer System);

  • Service dog means a dog that has been individually trained by an organization or person specializing in service dog training to perform a task to assist a person with a disability with a need related to their disability.

  • Micro wireless facility means a small cell facility that is not larger in dimension than 24 inches in length, 15 inches in width, and 12 inches in height and that has an exterior antenna, if any, not longer than 11 inches.
