Employment Supports definition

Employment Supports means support provided to assist transition age youth and adults in Establishing and achieving work and career goals. Employment supports include assessment, employer and job development, job training and ongoing support to maintain a job, and may include environmental modification, adaptive equipment, and transportation, as necessary.
Employment Supports means the prescribed goods or services provided to a person in order to remove barriers to the person’s competitive employment and assist the per- son in attaining his or her competitive employment goal; (“soutien de l’emploi”)

Examples of Employment Supports in a sentence

  • Upon receipt of an authorization from DORS the Contractor shall provide services, including but not limited to the following: Long Term Employment Supports.

  • Employment Supports does not include sheltered work or other similar types of vocational services furnished in specialized facilities (federal guidelines).

  • Supported Employment includes two (2) components: Intensive Job Coaching and Extended Employment Supports.

  • Intensive Job Coaching provides on-the-job training and support to assist Participants in stabilizing in a supported or self-employment situation.Intensive Job Coaching supports Participants who require on-the-job support for more than 20% of their work week at the outset of the service, with the expectation that the need for support will diminish during the Intensive Job Coaching period (at which time, Extended Employment Supports will be provided if ongoing support is needed).

  • Extended Employment Supports are ongoing support available for an indefinite period as needed by the Participant for 20% or less of their work week.Extended Employment Supports are available to support Participants in maintaining their paid employment position or self-employment situation.

  • Additionally, all developmental disabilities clients who are enrolled in a PASSE will have already been deemed to meet the institutional level of care by either the Community and Employment Supports Waiver eligibility unit or the Office of Long Term Care.

  • The participant may not exercise employer authority for the following types of Employment Services: Discovery, Job Development, Self-Employment Development Supports, or Co-Worker Employment Supports.

  • Supported employment services means provision of job training and supervision available to assist an individual who needs intensive ongoing support to choose, get, and keep a job in a community business setting. Supported employment is a service planned in partnership with public vocational assistance agencies and school districts and through Social Security Work Incentives when available.

  • Transitional Services means services involving technical or specialized knowledge required to complete a project or to provide temporary consulting services to the City or the Agency.

Customized employment assumes the provision of reasonable accommodations and supports necessary for the individual to perform the functions of a job that is individually negotiated and developed.

  • Scope of employment means performance by an employee acting in good faith within the duties of the employee’s office or employment or of tasks lawfully assigned by a competent authority including the operation or use of an agency vehicle or equipment with actual or implied consent of the supervisor of the employee, but shall not include corruption or fraud;

  • Employment services organization means an organization that provides community-based employment services to individuals with disabilities that is an approved Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited vendor of the Department of Aging and Rehabilitative Services.
