Employment Works definition

Employment Works means any Works which are made wholly or partially by you at any time during the course of your employment with Lifeway and within the scope of such employment or status and/or with the use of any Lifeway resources and whether or not recorded in material form.
Employment Works means (i) Works (excluding computer program works but including databases) that are created by Faculty Members in the capacity of their employment and on the initiative of the University, and published under the name of the University, and(ii) computer program works and, for semiconductor integrated circuits, data that describes the electronic circuit blocks and data that expresses the arrangement patterns of circuit elements, conductors and the like, which are created by Faculty Members in the capacity of their employment and on the initiative of the University.

Examples of Employment Works in a sentence

  • You agree not to attempt to register any Employment IPR or patent any Employment Works unless requested to do so by Lifeway; and to keep confidential each Employment Work unless Lifeway has consented in writing to its disclosure by you.

  • In addition to the foregoing, you acknowledge that you shall not be entitled to any compensation other than that provided for in this Agreement for any of the Employment Works and/or any Intellectual Property Rights therein.

  • You further agree that you shall never transfer, license or assign the Employment Works and/or any Intellectual Property Rights therein to any third party, nor purport to do the same, nor contest Lifeway’s exclusive, complete, and unrestricted ownership in and to the Employment Works and/or any Intellectual Property Rights therein, nor claim adverse rights therein.

  • Grand Ronde Tribe NEW (Native Employment Works) Program (formerly known as JOBS): The Grand Ronde Tribe NEW program provides training and employment services to Grand Ronde Tribe members.

  • You shall have the burden of proving that any Works created, invented, designed, developed, contributed to or improved by you that are relevant to or implicated by your employment by Lifeway are not Employment Works.

  • BIA programs in this Supplement that this section applies to are: Consolidated Tribal Government Program (15.021) and Tribal Self-Governance (CFDA 15.022) when Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) (CFDA 93.558) program, the Native Employment Works (NEW) (CFDA 93.594) program, or Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) (CFDA 93.575/93.596) funds are received under a Pub.

  • In addition to the foregoing, I acknowledge that I shall not be entitled to any compensation other than that provided for in my Employment Agreement for any of the Employment Works and/or any Intellectual Property Rights therein.

Related to Employment Works

  • Employment means any occupation, vocation or employment, or any form of vocational or educational training. Provided, however, that "employment" shall not, for the purposes of this article, include membership in any law enforcement agency.

  • Employment Business means as per the Employment Agencies Xxx 0000 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003, an Employment Business is a business that offers contracts of employment to temporary workers, whose services are then temporarily offered on secondment to Framework Public Bodies.

  • contract of employment means a contract of service or apprenticeship, whether express or implied, and (if it is express) whether oral or in writing;

  • employment zone means an area within Great Britain designated for the purposes of section 60 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999 and an “employment zone programme” means a programme established for such an area or areas designed to assist claimants for a jobseeker’s allowance to obtain sustainable employment;

  • Period of Employment shall include any extension thereof pursuant to the preceding sentence. Provision of notice that the Period of Employment shall not be extended or further extended, as the case may be, shall not constitute a breach of this Agreement and shall not constitute “Good Reason” for purposes of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Period of Employment is subject to earlier termination as provided below in this Agreement.

  • Scope of employment means performance by an employee acting in good faith within the duties of the employee’s office or employment or of tasks lawfully assigned by a competent authority including the operation or use of an agency vehicle or equipment with actual or implied consent of the supervisor of the employee, but shall not include corruption or fraud;

  • Employment outcome means, with respect to an eligible individual, entering, advancing in, or retaining full-time or part-time competitive integrated employment as defined in 34 CFR §361.5(c) (9) (including customized employment, self-employment, telecommuting, or business ownership), or supported employment as defined in 34 CFR §361.5(c) (53), that is consistent with an individual's unique strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, interests, and informed choice. (Note: As specified in federal rule, a designated State unit may continue services to individuals with uncompensated employment goals on their approved individualized plans for employment prior to the effective date of the final federal regulations until June 30, 2017, unless a longer period of time is required based on the needs of the individual with the disability, as documented in the individual's service record.)

  • Date of Employment means: (i) in the case of an Employee whose employment commenced between the 1st and 15th days inclusive of any month, the 1st day of that calendar month; or (ii) in the case of an Employee whose employment commenced between the 16th and last days inclusive of any month, the 1st day of the following calendar month.

  • Self-employment shall be where a Claimant sets up his/her own business and is responsible for paying his/her tax and National Insurance.

  • Employment Termination means the effective date of: (i) Executive’s voluntary termination of employment with the Company with Good Reason, or (ii) the termination of Executive’s employment by the Company without Good Cause.

  • Supported employment means the ongoing supports to participants who, because of their disabilities, need intensive ongoing support to obtain and maintain an individual job in competitive or customized employment, or self-employment, in an integrated work setting in the general workforce at or above the state’s minimum wage or at or above the customary wage and level of benefits paid by the employer for the same or similar work performed by individuals without disabilities. The outcome of this service is sustained paid employment at or above the minimum wage in an integrated setting in the general workforce in a job that meets personal and career goals. Supported employment services can be provided through many different service models.

  • Length of Employment means the period of time since an employee last became a full-time or part-time employee in a permanent or term position for purposes of calculating all entitlements pursuant to this Agreement including, but not limited to, vacation, bonus vacation and pre-retirement leave and “Length of Service” shall have a similar meaning. Conversion from full-time or part-time status to casual status shall be considered a break in service and no period of casual employment or prior full-time or part-time employment in a permanent or term position shall be included in an employee’s length of employment or length of service even when a casual employee subsequently becomes a full-time or part-time employee.

  • Term of Employment means the period specified in Section 2 below.

  • Employment Period has the meaning set forth in Section 2.01.

  • Customized employment means an approach to supported employment which individualizes the employment relationship between employees and employers in ways that meet the needs of both. Customized employment is based on an individualized determination of the strengths, needs, and interests of the person with a disability and is also designed to meet the specific needs of the employer. Customized employment may include employment developed through job carving, self-employment or entrepreneurial initiatives, or other job development or restructuring strategies that result in job responsibilities being customized and individually negotiated to fit the needs of the individual with a disability. Customized employment assumes the provision of reasonable accommodations and supports necessary for the individual to perform the functions of a job that is individually negotiated and developed.

  • Consulting Period has the meaning assigned thereto in Section 14(f) hereof.

  • Year of Employment means a period of service of 12 months.

  • Termination of Employment means that the Executive ceases to be employed by the Company for any reason, voluntary or involuntary, other than by reason of a leave of absence approved by the Company.

  • Suitable employment or "suitable job" means employment or a job:

  • Place of employment means an enclosed area under the control of a public or private employer that employees normally frequent during the course of employment, including, but not limited to, work areas, private offices, employee lounges, restrooms, conference rooms, meeting rooms, classrooms, employee cafeterias, hallways, and vehicles. A private residence is not a "place of employment" unless it is used as a child care, adult day care, or health care facility;

  • Employment Contract means any contract between the Corporation or any Designated Affiliate and any Eligible Employee, Eligible Director or Other Participant relating to, or entered into in connection with, the employment of the Eligible Employee, the appointment or election of the Eligible Director or the engagement of the Other Participant or any other agreement to which the Corporation or a Designated Affiliate is a party with respect to the rights of such Participant in respect of a change in control of the Corporation or the termination of employment, appointment, election or engagement of such Participant;

  • Part-time employment means any employment or combination of one or more employments in a civil division in which an individual works fifty percent or less of the time prescribed as the standard work week by the governing body or other appropriate authority of the civil division or where the employee earns not more than one-half (1/2) of the rate assigned to the position if the position has been allocated to a graded salary schedule.

  • Active Employment means you must be actively at work for the Sponsor:

  • Employment agency means a person regularly undertaking with or without compensation to procure employees for an employer or to procure for employees opportunities to work for an employer and includes an agent of such a person.
