Engineer Incharge definition

Engineer Incharge means the University engineer or any other officer who for the time being and from time to time in charge of the works and includes an officer appointed by the University to act as engineer -in-charge for the purposes of the contract;

  • If the contractor does not submit the bill within the time fixed as aforesaid, the Engineer In-charge may depute a subordinate to measure up the said work in the presence of the contractor or his duly authorized agent whose counter signature to the measurement list shall be sufficient warrant, and Engineer In-Charge may prepare a bill from such list which shall be binding on the contractor in all respects.

  • In any case in which any of the powers conferred upon the Engineer In-charge by the relevant clauses in documents that form a part of contract as exercised or is exercisable in the event of any future case of default by the Contractor, he is declared liable to pay compensation amounting to the whole of his security deposit.
