Examples of Extended employment in a sentence
Extended employment is any work in a “non-integrated or sheltered setting for which compensation is in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act.” If an individual is performing work-related tasks in an environment where a majority of the other employees have a disability, or if the individual is being compensated at less than minimum wage under the Fair Labor Standards Act, it is considered to be extended employment.
These factors are not prerequisites to the grant or denial of injunctive relief, but factors that must be carefully balanced by the district court in exercising its equitable powers.
Extended employment is not an end-point in the rehabilitation process and is not considered an employment outcome as defined in Section 7011 of these regulations.
Extended employment means work in a non-integrated or sheltered setting for a public or private nonprofit agency or organization that provides compensation in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and any needed support services to an individual with a disability to enable the individual to continue to train or otherwise prepare for competitive employment, unless the individual through informed choice chooses to remain in extended employment.
Extended employment for retirement and/or health benefits eligibility: The Ohio National Guard shall retain eligible civilian employees in an annual leave status beyond their scheduled separation date (employee must have adequate annual leave balance) to attain first eligibility for immediate retirement as described in 5 U.S.C. 8336, 8412 and 8414 or to become eligible for continued health benefit coverage during retirement under 5 U.S.C. 8905.
