Food service worker means according to chapter 246-217 WAC an individual who works (or intends to work) with or without pay in a food service establishment and han- dles unwrapped or unpackaged food or who may contribute to the transmission of infectious diseases through the nature of his/her contact with food products and/or equipment and facilities. This does not include persons who simply assist residents with meals.
Food service worker means a member of staff in a long-term care home who is routinely involved in the storage, preparation, cooking, delivery or serving of food, the cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils or the maintaining of the kitchen and serveries in a clean and sanitary condition, but does not include a nutrition manager for the home; (“préposé au service d’alimentation”)
