Gross Hotel Income definition

Gross Hotel Income means all income and proceeds of sales received by Operator for guest use, occupancy or enjoyment of the Hotel or for the sale of any goods, services or other items sold on or provided from the Hotel to guests in the ordinary course of the Hotel operation, but excluding the following: (i) any excise, sales or use taxes or similar government charges collected directly from patrons or guests, or as a part of the sales price of any goods, services or displays, such as gross receipts, admission, cabaret or similar or equivalent taxes; (ii) receipts from condemnation awards or sales in lieu of or under threat of condemnation; (iii) proceeds of insurance (other than proceeds from business interruption insurance received by Lessee which shall be allocated by Lessee to any applicable periods); (iv) proceeds of sales of capital assets, furniture and Hotel Operating Equipment; (v) consideration received at the Hotel for hotel accommodations, goods and services to be provided at other hotels although arranged by, for or on behalf of, Operator; (vi) proceeds of any financing; (vii) working capital provided by Lessee; (viii) any funds provided by Lessee to Operator whether for Operating Expenses or otherwise; (ix) interest income and fees, rents and other revenues from telecommunications tower or similar leases or other leases or sub-leases of any part of the Property and (x) other income or proceeds resulting other than from guest use or occupancy of the Hotel or the Property, or any part thereof, or other than from the sale of goods, services or other items sold on or provided in connection with guest services at the Hotel in the ordinary course of business. The parties intend that Gross Hotel Income shall be computed in a manner consistent withroom rentals and other hotel services” computation of revenues on the Parent’s audited Consolidated Statements of Operations.
Gross Hotel Income means all revenues and receipts of every kind derived from the Hotel and all departments and parts thereof, as finally determined on an accrual basis in accordance with the Uniform System of Accounts, including, but not limited to, revenues and income (both cash and credit transactions) before commissions and discounts for prompt or cash payments, from the rental of rooms and lobby space, exhibit or sales space of any kind, including without limitation, charges for reservations, deposits and cancellation fees not refunded to guests; income from vending machines, health club membership fees, wholesale and retail sales of merchandise, service fees and charges, business interruption insurance claims in respect of the Hotel, condemnation awards for temporary use of the Hotel, license, lease and concession fees and rentals (but not including the gross receipts of any licensees, lessees and concessionaires), food and beverages sales, and other sales of every kind conducted by, through or under Operator in connection with the Hotel, but excluding the following: (i) any excise, sales or use taxes or similar government charges collected directly from patrons or guests, or as a part of the sales price of any goods, services or displays, such as gross receipts, admission, cabaret or similar or equivalent taxes; (ii) receipts from condemnation awards or sales in lieu of or under threat of condemnation; (iii) proceeds of insurance; (iv) proceeds of sales of capital assets or property described in Section 1231 of the Internal Revenue Code; (v) consideration received at the Hotel for hotel accommodations, goods and services to be provided at other hotels although arranged by, for or on behalf of, Operator; (vi) proceeds of any financing; (vii) working capital provided by Lessee; (viii) any funds provided by Lessee to Operator whether for Operating Expenses or otherwise; (ix) interest income; (x) tips and service charges paid to Hotel Employees; (xi) revenues of subtenants, concessionaires, and licensees, but rent and license fees paid to Lessee would be included; and (xii) fees, rents and other revenues from telecommunications towers or similar leases.
Gross Hotel Income means all income and proceeds of sales received by Operator for guest use, occupancy or enjoyment of the Hotel or for the sale of any goods, services or other items sold on or provided from the Hotel to guests in the ordinary course of the Hotel operation, net of changes in the month end balance of the reserve for uncollectible accounts receivable, and including gross receipts received by lessees, sub-lessees, licensees or concessionaires of the Hotel if Operator in fact performs all necessary oversight and management activities with respect thereto (unless Lessee specifically notifies Operator that Lessee no longer wants Operator to perform such oversight and management activities) but excluding the following: (i) any excise, sales or use taxes or similar government charges collected directly from patrons or guests, or as a part of the sales price of any goods, services or displays, such as gross receipts, admission, cabaret or similar or equivalent taxes; (ii) receipts from condemnation awards or sales in lieu of or under threat of condemnation; (iii) proceeds of insurance (other than proceeds from business interruption insurance payable to Lessee which shall be estimated and accrued by Lessee for any applicable periods);

  • All income, receipts, and proceeds included in the definition of Gross Hotel Income shall be deposited into Lessee Revenue Account.

  • All receipts and income, including, without limitation, Gross Hotel Income shall be promptly deposited in the Lessee Revenue Account.

  • Gross income means the same as it does for income tax purposes, even if the income is not actually taxable, such as interest on tax-free bonds. Examples include: compensation for services, income from business, gains from property dealings, interest, rents, dividends, pensions, IRA distributions, social security, distributive share of partnership gross income, and alimony, but not child support.

  • Gross Income from Operations means, during any period, all sustainable income as reported on the financial statements delivered by Borrower in accordance with this Agreement, computed in accordance with GAAP, derived from the ownership and operation of the Property from whatever source during such period, including (i) Rents from Tenants that are in occupancy, open for business and paying full contractual rent without right of offset or credit, (ii) utility charges, (iii) escalations, (iv) forfeited security deposits, (v) interest on credit accounts, (vi) service fees or charges, (vii) license fees, (viii) parking fees, (ix) rent concessions or credits, (x) income from vending machines, (xi) business interruption or other loss of income or rental insurance proceeds, (xii) other required pass-throughs and (xiii) interest on Reserve Funds, if any, but excluding (i) Rents from month-to-month Tenants, Tenants during a free-rent period, or Tenants that are included in any Bankruptcy Action, (ii) sales, use and occupancy or other taxes on receipts required to be accounted for by Borrower to any Governmental Authority, (iii) refunds and uncollectible accounts, (iv) sales of furniture, fixtures and equipment, (v) Insurance Proceeds (other than business interruption or other loss of income or rental insurance), (vi) Awards, (vii) unforfeited security deposits, (viii) utility and other similar deposits and (ix) any disbursements to Borrower from the Reserve Funds, if any.   • Gross Rooms Revenue means all revenues derived from the sale or rental of Guest Rooms (both transient and permanent) of the Hotel, including revenue derived from the redemption of points or rewards under the loyalty programs in which the Hotel participates, amounts attributable to breakfast (where the guest room rate includes breakfast), Mandatory Guest Fees, late cancellation fees, and guaranteed no- show revenue and credit transactions, whether or not collected, at the actual rates charged, less allowances for any Guest Room rebates and overcharges, and will not include taxes collected directly from patrons or guests.   • Sales Tax Revenues means taxes collected under the Virginia Retail Sales and Use Tax Act

  • Program Income means gross in- come earned by the recipient that is di- rectly generated by a supported activ- ity or earned as a result of the award (see exclusions in § 215.24(e) and (h)). No part of Lessee’s central office overhead or general or administrative expense (as opposed to that of the Hotel), and no operating expenses paid or payable by tenants under Space Leases, shall be deemed to be a part of Gross Operating Expenses, as herein provided. Reasonable out-of-pocket expenses of Lessee incurred for the account of or in connection with the Hotel operations, including but not limited to postage, telephone charges and reasonable travel expenses of employees, officers and other representatives and consultants of Lessee and its Affiliates, shall be deemed to be a part of Gross Operating Expenses and such Persons shall be afforded reasonable accommodations, food, beverages, laundry, valet and other such services by and at the Hotel without charge to such Persons or Lessee.

  • Gross Operating Profit For any Fiscal Year, the excess of Gross Revenues for such Fiscal Year over Gross Operating Expenses for such Fiscal Year.
