Induction Training definition

Induction Training means entry-level training in the meat industry induction program as developed by the Employer and the Union including Company familiarisation as described in this clause. "Company wide or On the Job Modules" mean skills and Organisation based training as agreed with the Union sufficient to enable an employee to carry out the skills/duties required at a particular grade. Company wide training may be enterprise and/or industry based but if enterprised based will be in line with MINTRAC established competencies, relevant ASF / AVTS levels and accredited towards a qualification that is portable and recognised across the food industry. Company wide training includes training that may be delivered on the job/in the workplace or classroom and accredited by a TAFE College or other tertiary institution or Union based training. Core skills to be developed in Company wide training are vocational skills and organisational skills including occupational health and safety, hygiene and quality standards and communications (which may include literacy and numeracy training).
Induction Training. Means once off introductory training on general health and safety issues given to all employees and visitors to the site before commencement of work on site.
