Longevity definition

Longevity is years of service with the District regardless of change in position.
Longevity means time in service in the Department from the date the employee became a probationary Police Officer.
Longevity means all time beginning at date of employment as a pilot, and 2 ending at termination of employment as a pilot, retirement as a pilot, or death.

Examples of Longevity in a sentence

  • Longevity payment shall be made in a separate check from the regular payroll check.

  • Longevity pay shall be payable on June 20 and December 20 of each year.

More Definitions of Longevity

Longevity means the length of full-time employment experience from the most recent date of hire with the Association.
Longevity means the total length of continuous service by an employee as computedfor the purpose of determining employee fringe benefits and longevity pay. One-half longevity credit shall be earned for each biweekly payroll period in which a full-time employee works 40 or more hours. Regular part-time employees shall earn longevity credits on a pro rata basis. An employee who has been on a duly approved leave of absence shall retain all longevity earned before and after such leave but shall not earn longevity during the leave of absence. Longevity shall be earned during a military leave of absence in accordance with federal and state law.
Longevity means the cumulative length of a Flight Attendant's active service with the Company, commencing on date of hire and accumulating thereafter in accordance with the terms of this Agreement. For pay purposes, longevity will be measured from date of hire as a Flight Attendant. For vacation and benefit purposes, longevity may include other active service with the Company.
