Lumber Yard definition

Lumber Yard means a parcel or building or both where bulk supplies of lumber and other building materials are stored, offered or kept for retail sale and may include storage on or about the premises of such material. Not included in this category are retail sales of furniture, appliances or other goods not ordinarily used in building and construction;
Lumber Yard means an area where finished and unfinished lumber is stored but does not include an establishment or area otherwise defined in this by-law.
Lumber Yard means Aan establishment where lumber and other building materials such as brick, tile, cement, insulation, roofing materials, and the like are sold at retail. The sale of items, such as heating and plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, paint, glass, hardware, and wallpaper is permitted at retail and deemed to be customary and incidental to the sale of lumber and other building materials. Such uses typically include outdoor storage of building material.

Lumber Yard means a facility that provides outdoor storage facilities operated by, and/or on behalf of, a licensed construction or landscape contractor for the storage of lumber materials and products along with vehicles and equipment commonly used for receiving, processing, storing, and delivering lumber. The facility may include an office and other indoor working or storage space.
Lumber Yard means the use of land, Buildings or Structures for the purpose of buying, selling and storing of wood and wood products and lumber but does not include any manufacturing or processing uses.

  • Junkyard means an establishment or place of business which is maintained, operated or used for storing, keeping, buying or selling junk, or for the maintenance or operation of an automobile graveyard, including garbage dumps and sanitary fills.

  • townsite in relation to the townsite to be established near the harbour means a townsite (whether or not constituted and defined under section 10 of the Land Act) primarily to facilitate the Company’s operations in and near the harbour and for employees of the Company and in relation to the mining areas means such a townsite or townsites or any other townsite or townsites which is or are established by the Company for the purposes of its operations and employees on or near the mining areas in lieu of a townsite constituted and defined under section 10 of the Land Act;

  • Yard means the land other than publicly owned land around or appurtenant to the whole or any part of a residential or non-residential property and used or capable of being used in connection with the property.

  • Side Yard means a yard of a lot extending from the front yard to the rear yard, and from the side lot line to the nearest wall of the nearest main building or structure on the lot;
