Major very major". These represent a scale of demand; the individual phrases should be interpreted accordingly.
Major means completion of at least 64 credits at exit level and at least 32 credits in the preceding year in that discipline or in any other closely related specified discipline.
Major for municipalities, means a facility having an average wet weather design flow of 1.0 million gallons per day (MGD) or greater. For industries “major” means a facility which is designated by EPA as being a major industry based on the EPA point rating system.

Major means a field of study in which a student com- pletes an academic specialization as part of an approved program leading to a license.
