Manifestation Determination definition

Manifestation Determination means a review of the relationship between the student's disability and the behavior subject to disciplinary action that is conducted by the Manifestation Team or the Committee on Special Education (CSE) of the student's home school district.
Manifestation Determination means the process by which the IEP team determines whether the behavior that violated a student code of conduct is a manifestation of a student’s disability pursuant to 34 CFR 300.530(e).

  • Manifestation Determination Review: Immediately if possible, but in no case later than 10 school days after the date the decision to take disciplinary action is made, a manifestation determination review shall be made of the relationship between the student's disability and the behavior subject to the disciplinary action.

  • For any disciplinary change in placement, a Manifestation Determination Review (“MDR”) must be held and the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team must meet to determine the educational services to be provided during the long-term removal.

Manifestation Determination means a review of the relationship between the student’s disability and the behavior subject to disciplinary action required when the disciplinary action results in a disciplinary change of placement, and conducted in accordance with requirements set forth later in this policy.
