Medical Science Liaisons definition

Medical Science Liaisons or “MSL” shall have the meaning set forth in Section 5.11.
Medical Science Liaisons means persons responsible for (i) being an ambassador of, and advocate for, Novacea and/or Schering science within the healthcare community; (ii) developing and nurturing relationships with healthcare professionals that are centered on science; (iii) communicating accurate and balanced information regarding the benefits and risks of Novacea and/or Schering products; and (iv) interacting with managed care organizations, thought leaders, clinical investigators and other healthcare organizations to provide fair, balanced and scientifically rigorous information. For purposes of clarity, MSLs do not engage in promotional activities and are not sales representatives.

Medical Science Liaisons or "MSLs" are defined as field-based clinical research employees of each of the Parties whose main function is to support clinical investigators in developing and conducting clinical trials. OSI MSLs may conduct activities with respect to Licensed Product only for so long as OSI is conducting clinical study activities within a OSI Lifecycle Initiatives (as defined in Section 4.3B(a) below in accordance with the following:
