Medically Fit to Travel definition

Medically Fit to Travel means based on assessment a Legally Qualified Physician has advised You, a Traveling Companion, Family Member or Business Partner booked to travel with You in writing that there is no medical condition, illness, Injury or Sickness that would likely interfere with a Trip at the time of purchase of Coverage for a Trip.

Examples of Medically Fit to Travel in a sentence

  • If coverage for a Trip is purchased and it is later determined that You, Your Traveling Companion, Family Member, Pet(s) or Service Animal(s) scheduled and booked to travel with You were not Medically Fit to Travel at the time of purchase of coverage for Your Trip, as defined in the policy, the coverage is cancelled and premium paid will be returned.

  • We will not pay any expense as a result of You having been advised in writing that You, Your Traveling Companion, Family Member, Pet(s) or Service Animal(s) scheduled and booked to travel with You are not Medically Fit to Travel at the time of purchase of coverage for a Trip, as defined in the policy.

  • If You incur a covered Injury or Sickness on Your Trip and a treating Physician certifies that You are not Medically Fit to Travel to Your Return Destination on Your Scheduled Return Date, the Medical Evacuation and Repatriation benefit will be automatically extended until You are Medically Fit to Travel and transported to Your Primary Residence or You reached the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits.

  • We will not pay any expense as a result of You having been advised in writing that You are not Medically Fit to Travel at the time of purchase of coverage for a Trip, as defined in the policy.

  • If coverage for a Trip is purchased and it is later determined that You were not Medically Fit to Travel at the time of purchase of coverage for Your Trip, as defined in the policy, the coverage is cancelled and premium paid will be returned.

  • Medical Evacuation and Repatriation ExtensionIf You incur a covered Injury or Sickness on Your Trip and a treating Physician certifies that You are not Medically Fit to Travel to Your Return Destination on Your Scheduled Return Date, the Medical Evacuation and Repatriation benefit will be automatically extended until You are Medically Fit to Travel and transported to Your Primary Residence or You reached the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits.

  • If You are Hospitalized due to a covered Injury or Sickness on Your Trip and a treating Physician certifies that You are not Medically Fit to Travel to Your Return Destination on Your Scheduled Return Date, this benefit will be extended for an additional 14 days, or until You are released from the Hospital and Medically Fit to Travel, or You reached the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits, whichever is earlier, provided that Hospitalization goes beyond the Scheduled Return Date.

  • If Coverage for a Trip is purchased and it is later determined that You , a Traveling Companion, Family Member or Business Partner booked to travel with You were not Medically Fit to Travel, as defined in the Policy, at the time of purchase of Coverage for a Trip, the Coverage is void and premium paid will be returned.

  • GENERAL EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS is deleted and replaced as follows: MEDICALLY FIT TO TRAVEL EXCLUSION:The Company will not pay any expense as a result of You having been advised in writing by a Legally Qualified Physician that You, a Traveling Companion, Family Member or Business Partner booked to travel with You are not Medically Fit to Travel, as defined in the Policy, at the time of purchase of Coverage for a Trip.

  • Medical Evacuation and Repatriation Extension:If You incur a covered Injury or Sickness on Your Trip and a treating Physician certifies that You are not Medically Fit to Travel to Your Return Destination on Your Scheduled Return Date, the Medical Evacuation and Repatriation benefit will be automatically extended until You are Medically Fit to Travel and transported to Your Primary Residence or You reached the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits.

Partial hospital programs are usuallyfurnished by a hospital as distinct and organized intensive ambulatory treatment service of less than 24-hour daily care. “Payments or Deposits” means the cash, check, or credit card amounts, or the cash value of Timeshare Points actually paid or used for Your Trip. Certificates, vouchers, discounts, credits, frequent traveler or frequent flyer rewards, miles or points applied (in part or in full) towards the cost of Your Travel Arrangements are not Payments or Deposits asdefined herein. “Penalty” means a fee assessed for canceling a reservation. For airline tickets, the cancellation penalty is usually collected by refunding only a portion of the ticket price. For hotel reservations, the cancellation penalty is charged to the credit card or deposit used to secure the reservations. “Pre-Existing Condition” means any injury, sickness or condition (including any condition from which death ensues) of the Insured, or Traveling Companion, or Your and/or Traveling Companion’s Family Member or Your Business Partner for which within the 180 day period prior to the effective date of Your Trip Cancellation coverage under the policy which (a) manifested itself, became acute or exhibited symptoms which would have caused one to seek diagnosis, care or treatment;(b) required taking prescribed drugs or medicine, unless the condition for which the prescribed drug or medicine is taken...
