Occupational Safety and Health Laws definition

Occupational Safety and Health Laws means the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended, and any other Federal, state or local statute, law, ordinance, code, rule, regulation, order or decree regulating, relating to or imposing liability or standards of conduct concerning employee health and/or safety, as now or at any time hereafter in effect.
Occupational Safety and Health Laws means any federal, state, provincial, local or other law, ordinance, rule, regulation or standard or other binding determination of any court of competent jurisdiction, government or governmental authority relating to, or otherwise addressing the health or safety of employees or workers.
Occupational Safety and Health Laws means Laws designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards.

  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary set forth in this Section 3.12, none of the representations and warranties set forth in this Section 3.12 is intended or shall be construed to apply to any matter relating to Environmental Laws, Occupational Safety and Health Laws or any laws relating to employment practices, which matters are addressed in Sections 3.17 and 3.18, respectively.

Occupational Safety and Health Laws means any and all Legal Requirements (including common law) designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, the Mine Safety and Health Act, and any program, whether governmental or private (such as those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.
Occupational Safety and Health Laws means the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended, and any other federal, state or local statute, law, ordinance, code, rule, regulation, order or decree regulating, relating to or imposing liability or standards of conduct concerning employee health and/or safety, as now or at any time hereafter in effect. Operating Lease shall mean any lease of Property for a term not less than one year, whether real and/or personal, by a Person as lessee which is not a Capitalized Lease.
Occupational Safety and Health Laws means any U.S. Law enacted and in effect on the Closing Date concerning Occupational Safety and Health Matters, including all those Laws promulgated by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration and state agencies approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and all other U.S. Laws relating to occupational exposure to Hazardous Materials or relating to occupational safety and health hazards.
Occupational Safety and Health Laws means any common law or duty caselaw or other Law, that is designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions or reduce occupational safety and health hazards. Such laws shall include, but not be limited to, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 29 U.S.C. Section 651 et seq., the Hazard Communication Act, 29 U.S.C. Section 651 et seq. and any caselaw interpretations, amendments or restatements thereof, or similar enactments thereto, as is now or at any time hereafter may be in effect, as well as their international, state and local counterparts.
Occupational Safety and Health Laws means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, 29 U.S.C. 650 et seq., and any program, whether governmental or private (such as those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions, but do not include Environmental Laws or Nuclear Laws.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Law means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and any program, whether governmental or private (such as those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • Occupational Health and Safety Act means the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No 85 of 1993);

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Laws means the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980, the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, and the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, each as amended, together with all other laws (including rules, regulations, codes, plans, injunctions, judgments, orders, decrees, rulings, and charges thereunder) of federal, state, local, and foreign governments (and all agencies thereof) concerning pollution or protection of the environment, public health and safety, or employee health and safety, including laws relating to emissions, discharges, releases, or threatened releases of pollutants, contaminants, or chemical, industrial, hazardous, or toxic materials or wastes into ambient air, surface water, ground water, or lands or otherwise relating to the manufacture, processing, distribution, use, treatment, storage, disposal, transport, or handling of pollutants, contaminants, or chemical, industrial, hazardous, or toxic materials or wastes.

  • Rail Safety Act means the Rail Safety Act 1998 (WA);

  • Health and Safety means, in relation to a recipient or a third person, the prevention of death or serious personal injury;

  • Environmental, Health, and Safety Requirements means all federal, state, local and foreign statutes, regulations, and ordinances concerning public health and safety, worker health and safety, and pollution or protection of the environment, including without limitation all those relating to the presence, use, production, generation, handling, transportation, treatment, storage, disposal, distribution, labeling, testing, processing, discharge, release, threatened release, control, or cleanup of any hazardous materials, substances or wastes, as such requirements are enacted and in effect on or prior to the Closing Date.

  • Public Health Laws means all applicable Laws relating to the development, pre-clinical testing, clinical testing, manufacture, production, analysis, distribution, importation, exportation, use, handling, quality, sale or promotion of any drug, biologic or medical device (including any ingredient or component of the foregoing products) intended for any medical or clinical use subject to regulation under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. § 301 et seq.) or similar federal, state or foreign Laws.

  • Clean air standards, as used in this clause means:

  • Labor laws means the following labor laws and E.O.s:

  • Environmental, Health and Safety Liabilities means any cost, damages, expense, liability, obligation or other responsibility arising from or under any Environmental Law.

  • Health and Safety Plan means a documented plan which addresses hazards identified and includes safe work procedures to mitigate, reduce or control the hazards identified;

  • OSHA means the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, as amended from time to time, and any successor statute.

  • Environmental, Health or Safety Requirements of Law means all Requirements of Law derived from or relating to foreign, federal, state and local laws or regulations relating to or addressing pollution or protection of the environment, or protection of worker health or safety, including, but not limited to, the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act, 42 U.S.C. § 9601 et seq., the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, 29 U.S.C. § 651 et seq., and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, 42 U.S.C. § 6901 et seq., in each case including any amendments thereto, any successor statutes, and any regulations or guidance promulgated thereunder, and any state or local equivalent thereof.

  • Environmental pollution means the contaminating or rendering unclean or impure the air, land or waters of the state, or making the same injurious to public health, harmful for commer- cial or recreational use, or deleterious to fish, bird, animal or plant life.

  • Environmental and Safety Laws means any federal, state or local laws, ordinances, codes, regulations, rules, policies and orders that are intended to assure the protection of the environment, or that classify, regulate, call for the remediation of, require reporting with respect to, or list or define air, water, groundwater, solid waste, hazardous or toxic substances, materials, wastes, pollutants or contaminants, or which are intended to assure the safety of employees, workers or other persons, including the public.

  • Federal safety requirements means applicable provisions of 49 U.S.C. § 30101 et seq. and all

  • Clean Air Act or “Act” means the federal Clean Air Act, 42 U.S.C. §§ 7401-7671q, and its implementing regulations.

  • Accident and health insurance means contracts that incorporate morbidity risk and provide protection against economic loss resulting from accident, sickness, or medical conditions and as may be specified in the valuation manual.

  • Data Protection Laws and Regulations means all laws and regulations, including laws and regulations of the European Union, the European Economic Area and their member states, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, applicable to the Processing of Personal Data under the Agreement.

  • Safety zone means the area officially set apart within a roadway for the exclusive use of

  • HITECH Act means the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act, TitleXIII, Subtitle D, Part 1 & 2 of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

  • PBR Act means the Plant Breeder’s Rights Xxx 0000 (Cth) as amended from time to time.

  • Environmental Regulations means any federal, state or local law, statute, code, ordinance, regulation, requirement or rule relating to dangerous, toxic or hazardous pollutants, Hazardous Substances or chemical waste, materials or substances.

  • Dangerous drug means any of the following:

  • Disaster Management Act means the Disaster Management Act, 2002 (Act No.57 of 2002)
