OPERATING CENTRE definition

OPERATING CENTRE means the operational control centre of the SERVICE PROVIDERS through which the SUBSCRIBER (or USERS of the VEHICLE) are provided with assistance services in the event of an accident and or need of roadside assistance.
OPERATING CENTRE in relation to any vehicle, means the base or centre at which the vehicle is normally kept, and references to an operating centre of the holder of an operator’s licence are references to any place which is an operating centre for authorised vehicles under the licence;
OPERATING CENTRE means the site or depot where commercial vehicles operate from, where there is infrastructure that supports daily management, control and day to day operational deployment of a fleet. Note that the definition of FORS operating centre is not the same as the definition according to Operator Licensing;

  • In the event of a significant impact registered by the DEVICE on the VEHICLE, with consequent shutdown of the VEHICLE itself, a request for assistance is automatically sent from the VEHICLE to the OPERATING CENTRE , together with the transmission of the data needed for the identification and the location of the VEHICLE.
