Private Duty Nursing Services definition

Private Duty Nursing Services means nursing services provided within the scope of license by a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse under the general direction of the patient's physician to an individual who is not in a health care facility.

Private Duty Nursing Services means nursing services provided to a member or eligible person who requires more individual and continuous care than is available from a visiting nurse, or routinely provided by the nursing staff of a nursing facility or ICF-MR, and that are provided by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Private Duty Nursing Services means services provided by a RN, which are more individual and continuous than those routinely available through a home health agency as in part-time or intermittent care on a limited basis.
