Procedures of the Joint Committee. 1. For the proper implementation of this Agreement, the Joint Committee shall meet at an appropriate level whenever necessary upon request but at least once a year. Either Party may request a meeting be held.
2. The Joint Committee shall decide by consensus.
3. If a representative in the Joint Committee of a Party to this Agreement has accepted a decision subject to reservation of the fulfillment of internal legal requirements the decision shall enter into force, if no later date is contained therein, on the date of the receipt of the written notification stating that such requirements have been fulfilled.
4. The Joint Committee shall adopt its rules of procedure which shall, inter alia, contain provisions for convening meetings and for the designation of the Chairperson and his/her term of office.
5. The Joint Committee may decide to set up such sub-committees and working groups as it considers necessary to assist it in accomplishing its tasks.

3. The Joint Committee shall be co-chaired by a representative appointed by Egypt and a representative appointed by MERCOSUR.
4. The Joint Committee shall take decisions. These decisions shall be taken by consensus. The Joint Committee may also make recommendations on matters related to this Agreement.
5. The decisions of the Joint Committee shall be binding.
6. In the case a decision taken by the Joint Committee is subject to the fulfillment of internal legal requirements by the Parties or Signatory Parties, it shall enter into force, if no later date is contained therein, on the date of the receipt of the last diplomatic note confirming that all internal procedures have been fulfilled.
7. The Joint Committee may decide to set up sub-committees and working groups as it considers necessary to assist it in accomplishing its responsibilities.
Procedures of the Joint Committee. 1. The first meeting of the Joint Committee shall be held not later than one year after the entry into force of this Agreement. For the proper implementation of this Agreement, the Joint Committee shall, upon request of a Party, thereafter meet whenever necessary, but at least once every two years.

If a representative of a Party in the Joint Committee has accepted a decision subject to the fulfillment of constitutional requirements, the decision shall enter into force, if no later date is contained therein, on the date of receipt of the notification of the fulfillment of the necessary constitutional requirements.
4. For the purpose of this Agreement, the Joint Committee shall adopt its rules of procedure which shall, inter alia, contain provisions for convening meetings and for the designation of the Joint Chairpersons and their term of office.
5. The Joint Committee may decide to set up such sub-committees and working parties as it considers necessary to assist it in accomplishing its tasks.
Procedures of the Joint Committee. 3.1 The Committee shall determine its own procedures, subject to the following provisions:
a) a representative of the University and a representative of the Association shall jointly chair the Committee and shall together be responsible for preparing and distributing agenda for meetings and shall alternate in presiding over meetings;
b) the Committee shall meet by mutual agreement of the Chairs or, on five days’ written notice, at the call of either of the Chairs;
c) a quorum shall be its entire membership;
d) its decision shall be unanimous;
e) its records of decisions, when initialed by all members of the Committee, shall constitute Memoranda of Agreement between the Parties unless rejected by either Party within 15 days;
f) the Parties may, by mutual consent, fill vacancies, replace or expand the membership of the Committee on a parity basis.
g) the Parties may, by mutual consent, invite guests to attend meetings to advise on matters of mutual interest. In the event that professional fees are to be paid, the parties agree to split the costs on a 50:50 basis.

Procedures of the Joint Committee. 1. Unless the Parties otherwise agree, the Joint Committee shall meet within one year from the entry into force of this Agreement and, thereafter, convene:
(a) in regular session every year, with such sessions to be held alternately in the territory of each Party; and
(b) in special session within 30 days from the receipt of a request from either Party, with such sessions to be held in the territory of the other Party or at such other location as the Parties may agree.
2. The meetings of the Joint Committee may be held in person or, if agreed by the Parties, by any technological means available to them.
3. All decisions and recommendations of the Joint Committee shall be taken by mutual agreement.
