Qualifying Rent definition

Qualifying Rent means a monthly rent which does not exceed one-twelfth of thirty percent (30%) of the Applicable Income Level adjusted for household size, less a utility allowance, if any, specified by the Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburg.
Qualifying Rent means a monthly rent that does not exceed one-twelfth (1/12th) of the following, less a utility allowance and such other adjustments as required pursuant to California Community Redevelopment Law (California Health and Safety Code Section 33000 et seq.):
Qualifying Rent means the maximum rent for an Assisted Unit allowed under the City Loan Agreement and this City Regulatory Agreement, less an allowance for tenant- paid Utilities as calculated by the City of Los Angeles subject to HUD rules and regulations, and is the consideration, including any bonus, benefits or gratuity, demanded or received by Owner for or in connection with the use or occupancy of a rental unit, including parking, laundry facilities, and other housing services and amenities of any kind that are reasonably deemed as part of rent by the City. The following is not permissible: (a) additional service charges resulting in a rent amount above the maximum allowable rent set by this City Regulatory Agreement and the other Loan Documents; and (b) contracts with other agencies resulting in rent payments on behalf of the tenant for more than the City Regulatory Agreement’s qualifying rent, unless the project is designated as a HUD project based rental assisted building or the contract is otherwise approved by LAHD. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in this definition or the Loan Documents shall limit the Qualifying Rent to any amount less than may be collected in accordance with any contracted Section 8 rental payment and any associated tenant rent.

  • Rent charged to, and paid by, a tenant for Restricted Units shall be not more than the Qualifying Rent.

  • The Restricted Unit, if it is rented, shall be rented at not more than Qualifying Rent and occupied by Eligible Households.

Qualifying Rent means the maximum amount charged to and paid by a resident for the occupancy of the Project, which on a monthly (1/12 year) basis shall not exceed 30 percent of the Homeless Person’s documented income. No utility allowances are permitted; it is the responsibility of Owner to pay all utilities.

Qualifying Rent means the maximum amount charged to and paid by a Tenant for the occupancy of the Project, which on a monthly (1/12 year) basis shall not exceed 30 percent (30%) of 40 percent (40%) of the area median income, adjusted for household size, as released by and occasionally updated by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for the metropolitan area including the City. No utility allowances are permitted; utilities (defined as electricity, gas, water, sewer, and trash service) shall be included in the base rent and it is the responsibility of Owner to pay all utilities.
