Resettlement Costs definition

Resettlement Costs means the reasonable costs under Category (1) incurred by MEW in relation to relocation payments to Project Affected Persons, including cash and other payments for livelihood resettlement as identified in the LARAPs and agreed by the Association.
Resettlement Costs means expenditures incurred to finance the reasonable cost of land acquisition, replacement value for buildings and other property, relocation of common property, relocation, infrastructure at a new village site, loss of business opportunities, and monitoring and evaluation, respectively, of the Resettlement Action Plan and Resettlement Policy Framework implementation for the resettlement to be carried out under Part A of the Project; and
Resettlement Costs means the expenditures incurred for cash compensation and/ or other assistance paid for involuntary resettlement, such as costs related to moving, compensation for assets, compensation to farmers, special assistance to vulnerable Affected Persons, and for loss of livelihoods, as set forth in the relevant site-specific resettlement action plan, acceptable to the Association.

More Definitions of Resettlement Costs

Resettlement Costs means the expenditures incurred by the Recipient on account of implementation of a resettlement action plan, and which consist of the costs to finance expenditures for cash payments for compensation or other cash payments for assistance due to a Project Affected Person, for Livelihood Restoration, or for the cost of land acquisition related to the activities to be carried out under Part 4.2 of the Project, and which Resettlement Costs are hereby deemed an Eligible Expenditure for purposes of Section 2.05 of the General Conditions up to an amount equivalent to three million United States Dollars ($3,000,000), as approved by the Association on May 22, 2023.
