Response Activities definition

Response Activities means the action to contain and remove Oil from water, beaches and shorelines, the storage and disposal of recovered Oil, and other actions, including mobilization and demobilization of personnel, equipment, supplies and other capability as necessary to minimize or mitigate damage to the environment;

Response Activities means the containment and removal of a Discharge from the waters and shorelines, the temporary storage of recovered substances, or the taking of other actions as necessary to minimize or mitigate damage to the environment from a Spill Event.

Response Activities means the response actions anticipated by this Settlement as set forth in Section VIII (Work to be Performed).

Examples of Response Activities in a sentence

• Response: Activities that address the short-term, direct effects of an incident.

• Response: Activities authorized by NWP 10 do not result in losses of aquatic resources and, as a general rule, do not require compensatory mitigation.

• In the absence of such direction the Provider shall not be obligated to remove or divert Response Resources from Response Activities in connection with another spill initiated prior to the request for deployment of Response Resources by the Client if the Provider deems that such Response Resources are necessary for proper completion of the previously initiated Response Activities.

• This Component will finance the implementation of emergency infrastructure reconstruction, rehabilitation, and associated studies (Emergency Response Activities).

• The Provider does not warrant, by the terms of this Agreement or by undertaking, that Response Activities conducted with Response Resources will render the scene of the Discharge, or areas affected by the Discharge, safe for any form of human activity, or in compliance with any Federal law or State Law.

Response Activities means, consistent with Section 101(25) of CERCLA,

This includes all activities conducted on-water or onshore relating to the separation, recovery, containment, transfer, or treatment of marine waters of the State contaminated by oil and/or oily materials.

Response Activities means those activities that render care, assistance, or advice in accordance with the National Contingency Plan (40 CFR 300 et seq.), the State Oil Spill Contingency Plan, or at the direction of the Incident Commander or Unified Command during an immediate response to a spill or threatened spill of oil and/or oily materials. Response Activities means the clean-up, remediation efforts, and all other response actions (including the use and handling of dispersants or decontaminants) relating to the release of oil and other substances from the Macondo well and/or the Deepwater Horizon oil rig and its appurtenances (equipment) that were done at the direction of the Unified Command, BP, or a federal, state, or local authority.

Response Activities means an activity, a set of activities or a part thereof, carried out or to be carried out for the purpose of responding to the relevant infectious diseases outbreak, and for which an PEF Allocation is made;

Response Activities whether or not capitalized, shall mean any and all activities performed to respond to the release of oil and hydrocarbons from the MC252 Well following the Incident.
