Sanctioned Country or Territory definition

Sanctioned Country or Territory means, at any time, a country, region or territory which is subject to comprehensive economic sanctions by the United States that broadly restrict trade and investment in or with that country or territory (at the time of this Agreement, the Crimea Region of Ukraine, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria).

Sanctioned Country or Territory means any country or territory against which comprehensive sanctions are imposed by the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Nations, the European Union, any European Union member states, Australia, Switzerland or any other country with jurisdiction over the activities in connection with this Agreement, and currently includes Cuba, Iran, North Korea, South Sudan, Syria and the Crimea. Sanctioned Party means any person or entity or vessel that is listed on, or owned, or controlled by a person (including an entity that is 50% or more controlled or owned, directly or indirectly by a Restricted Party) listed on the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List maintained by the U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control or any similar restricted party or sanctions list maintained by the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Nations and the European Union, Australia, Canada or any other relevant government. Scope of Work means the scope of the Services to be performed or the Goods to be supplied as specified in the Purchase Order.

Related to Sanctioned Country or Territory

  • Sanctioned Territory means a country or territory that is the subject of comprehensive economic Sanctions including, without limitation, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and the Crimea.

  • Sanctioned Countries shall have the meaning set forth in Section 4.30.

  • OFAC Sanctions means any sanctions program administered by the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the United States Department of the Treasury (“OFAC”) under authority delegated to the Secretary of the Treasury (the “Secretary”) by the President of the United States or provided to the Secretary by statute, and any order or license issued by, or under authority delegated by, the President or provided to the Secretary by statute in connection with a sanctions program thus administered by OFAC. For ease of reference, and not by way of limitation, OFAC Sanctions programs are described on OFAC’s website at xxx.xxxxx.xxx/xxxx.

  • Nondesignated country end product means any end product that is not a U.S.-made end product or a designated country end product.

  • Relevant Territory means Hong Kong or such other territory as the Directors may from time to time decide if the issued ordinary share capital of the Company is listed on a stock exchange in such territory;

  • Selected Countries the jurisdictions listed on Appendix C as such may be amended from time to time in accordance with Article II.

  • Corrupt activities means any corrupt activities as contemplated in the Prevention and Combating of Corrupt Activities Act 2004 (Act no. 12 of 2004)

  • third country means a country that is not member of the Union;

  • Sanctions Target means any Person: (a) that is the subject or target of any Sanctions; (b) named in any Sanctions-related list maintained by OFAC, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Commerce or the U.S. Department of the Treasury, including the OFAC list of “Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons;” (c) operating, organized or resident in a Sanctioned Jurisdiction; or (d) owned or controlled by any such Person or Persons described in the foregoing clauses (a)-(c).
