Scrutinized Companies definition

Scrutinized Companies means any of the following:
Scrutinized Companies. The CONTRACTOR hereby certifies that it and its subcontractors are not on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List and are not engaged in the boycott of Israel. Pursuant to section 287.135, Florida Statutes, the TOWN may immediately terminate the Agreement at its sole option if the CONTRACTOR or any of its subcontractors are found to have submitted a false certification; or if the CONTRACTOR or any of its subcontractors, are placed on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List or is engaged in the boycott of Israel during the term of this Agreement. The CONTRACTOR agrees to observe the above requirements for applicable subcontracts entered into for the performance of work under this Agreement. The CONTRACTOR agrees that the certifications in this section shall be effective and relied upon by the TOWN for the term of this Agreement, including any and all renewals. The CONTRACTOR agrees that if it or any of its subcontractors’ status changes in regards to any certification herein, the CONTRACTOR shall immediately notify the TOWN of the same. As provided in Subsection 287.135(8), Florida Statutes, if federal law ceases to authorize the above-stated contracting prohibitions then they shall become inoperative.

Examples of Scrutinized Companies in a sentence

  • The Department may, at its option, terminate the Contract if the Contractor is found to have submitted a false certification as provided under section 287.135(5), F.S., or been placed on the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List or the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List, or been engaged in business operations in Cuba or Syria, or to have been placed on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List or is engaged in a boycott of Israel.

  • Specifically, by executing this Agreement, the Contractor/Sub-Recipient certifies that it is not on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List, created pursuant to Section 215.4725, Florida Statutes, or is engaged in a boycott of Israel.

  • Contractor must also certify that Contractor is not on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel list, not on the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List, and not on the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List, or been engaged in business operations in Cuba or Syria.

  • Pursuant to section 287.135(5), F.S., and 287.135(3), F.S., Contractor agrees the Department may immediately terminate the Contract for cause if the Contractor is found to have submitted a false certification or if Contractor is placed on the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List, the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List, or the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List, or is engaged in a boycott of Israel during the term of the Contract.

  • Section 287.135, Florida Statutes, requires that at the time a company submits a bid or proposal for a contract for goods or services of $1 million or more, the company must certify that the company is not on either the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List or the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List.

  • If the Contract exceeds $1,000,000.00 in total, not including renewal years, Contractor certifies that it is not listed on either the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List, the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector List, or the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List created pursuant to sections 215.473, F.S. and 215.4725 F.S, respectively.

  • A Vendor is ineligible to enter into a contract with the Department for goods or services of any amount if, at the time of entering into such contract, the Vendor is on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List, created pursuant to Section 215.4725, Florida Statutes, or is engaged in a boycott of Israel.

  • Section 287.135, Florida Statutes, also prohibits companies from entering into a contract for goods or services of $1 million or more that are on either the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in Sudan List or the Scrutinized Companies with Activities in the Iran Petroleum Energy Sector Lists which were created pursuant to s.

  • Pursuant to Florida Statutes Section 215.4725, contracting with any entity that is listed on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List or that is engaged in the boycott of Israel is prohibited.

  • The bill also requires a contract with an agency or local governmental entity for goods or services of any amount entered into or renewed on or after July 1, 2018, to contain a provision that allows for the termination of the contract at the option of the awarding body if the company has been placed on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List or is engaged in a boycott of Israel.

Related to Scrutinized Companies

  • Scrutinized company means any company not described in subsection (10) that has business operations that involve contracts with or provision of supplies or services to the government of Iran; companies in which the government of Iran has any direct or indirect equity share, consortiums, or projects commissioned by the government of Iran; or companies involved in consortiums and projects commissioned by the government of Iran and 1 or more of the following:

  • Organized criminal group means a structured group of three or more persons, existing for a period of time and acting in concert with the aim of committing one or more serious crimes or offences established in accordance with this Convention, in order to obtain, directly or indirectly, a financial or other material benefit;

  • Operating Companies shall have the meaning specified in the recitals to this Agreement.

  • Medical personnel means those persons assigned, by a Party to the conflict, exclusively to the medical purposes enumerated under sub-paragraph (e) or to the administration of medical units or to the operation or administration of medical transports. Such assignments may be either permanent or temporary. The term includes:

  • Company Personnel means any current or former officer, employee, director or consultant of the Company or any of its Subsidiaries.

  • Participating Companies means any insurance company (including Insurance Company) that offers variable annuity and/or variable life insurance contracts to the public and that has entered into an agreement with one or more of the Funds.

  • Qualified personnel means personnel who meet the statutory or regulatory qualifications for each respective profession currently applicable in this state.

  • Local Personnel means such professionals and support staff who at the time of being so provided had their domicile inside the Government’s country.

  • SpinCo Entities means the entities, the equity, partnership, membership, limited liability, joint venture or similar interests of which are set forth on Schedule IV under the caption “Joint Ventures and Minority Investments.”

  • Educational personnel means persons who must meet requirements pursuant to state law as a condition of employment in educational programs.

  • Senior Management Personnel means personnel of the company who are members of its core management team excluding Board of Directors. Normally, this would comprise all members of management one level below the executive directors, including all functional heads.

  • EDS means Electronic Data Systems Corporation, a Delaware corporation, all its direct and indirect subsidiaries, all its affiliated entities, and all its successors and assigns, and the employees, agents, attorneys, officers and directors of each of them.

  • Group Companies means the Company and its Subsidiaries.

  • Companies means Borrower and its Subsidiaries; and “Company” shall mean any one of them.

  • Covered Entities have the meanings stated in Section 1(a) of the Parent Support Agreement.

  • Company Entities means the Company and the Company Subsidiaries.

  • The Parents /"You" means any person who has signed the Acceptance Form and/or who has accepted responsibility for a child's attendance at this School. Parents are legally responsible, individually and jointly, for complying with their obligations under these Terms and Conditions. Those who have "parental responsibility" (i.e. legal responsibility for the child) are entitled to receive relevant information concerning the child unless a court order has been made to the contrary, or there are other reasons which justify withholding information to safeguard the interests and welfare and best interests of the child.

  • Key Management Personnel means persons having authority and responsibility for planning, directing and controlling the activities of the Company, directly or indirectly, including any Director (whether executive or otherwise) of the Company;

  • Related Companies means the companies within the meaning of Article L. 225-197-2 of the French Commercial Code or any provision substituted for same.

  • Company Parties means the collective reference to Holdings and its Restricted Subsidiaries, including the Borrower, and “Company Party” means any one of them.

  • Peer Group Companies means the following companies: .

  • Managed Care Plans means all health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, individual practice associations, competitive medical plans and similar arrangements.

  • Personnel means persons hired by the Service Provider or by any Subcontractor as employees and assigned to the performance of the Services or any part there of;

  • Specified Personnel means the personnel specified in the Contract to provide the Services.

  • Related Entities means contractors and subcontractors of a Party at any tier; grantees, investigators, customers, and users of a Party at any tier and their contractors or subcontractor at any tier; or, employees of the Party or any of the foregoing.

  • DGS&D means Directorate General of Supplies and Disposals
