Servicing carrier definition

Servicing carrier means any authorized insurer designated by the assigned risk plan and approved by the commissioner and the United States Department of Labor to issue workers' compensation poli- cies. It shall issue policies on behalf of the assigned risk plan, provide safety engineering, handle claims incurred by those covered by the assigned risk plan, provide premium audits, perform underwriting functions, and perform other duties as defined by the governing com- mittee in its operating procedures.
Servicing carrier means a Member of the Pool that has been appointed by the Commissioner to receive assignments and provide coverage to eligible employers pursuant to the Plan on behalf of all other Pool Members.
Servicing carrier means a participating insurer which agrees to be and is designated by the office to provide policyholder and claims service, including the issuance of policies, on behalf of the participating insurers.
