Social Management Plan definition

Social Management Plan. (or SMP) means a social management plan which describes how the applicant will implement all recommendations, commitments and obligations to avoid, minimise, ameliorate or compensate for adverse social impacts identified in the relevant social assessment instrument;
Social Management Plan means a plan, acceptable to the Association, developed by the Recipient for each Project site in accordance with the Social Impact Assessment, setting out guidelines to implement and monitor social mitigation and enhancement measures, and to address adverse social impacts of the Project, as the same may be modified from time to time with the prior written agreement of the Association, and such term includes any annexes or schedules to such plan, and “Social Management Plans” means, collectively, all such plans.
Social Management Plan means the Borrower’s social management plan for the Project, dated January 14, 2003, that contains the rules and procedures for mitigating potential impacts on the livelihood of communities in the Project area;

  • Based on the Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESMP) prepared by the Agency, the Contractor shall develop an Environmental and Social Management and Monitoring Plan (ESMMP) including measures for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and, Labour Force Management and Public Health and Safety, which requires to be in form and substance satisfactory to the Agency and the donor before construction (including mobilization) starts.

  • In implementing and monitoring the Environment Management Plan and the Social Management Plan, the Project Implementing Entity shall coordinate and work closely with NEPA, which shall also assist in developing the environmental management and monitoring capacity of the Project Implementing Entity.

  • KCM shall achieve the objectives specified in the Final Environmental and Social Management Plan no later than the date specified in the relevant plan for the achievement of such objectives.


More Definitions of Social Management Plan

Social Management Plan means the Recipient’s plan, referred to in Section I.F.3 of Schedule 2 to this Agreement, as the same may be modified from time to time with the prior written agreement of the Association, and such term includes any schedules or annexes to such plan.
Social Management Plan means the plan adopted for each Project site and furnished to the Bank on November 25, 2008 that sets forth the social protection measures for the Project, including provisions on resettlement and income restoration support, as said plans may be amended from time to time with the agreement of the Bank.

Social Management Plan mean the Recipient’s social management plan defining a Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) and an Indigenous Peoples Development Policy Framework (IPDP), dated July 31, 2005, disclosed to the public on August 5, 2005 and referred to in paragraph 3(a) of Schedule 4 to this Agreement;
Social Management Plan or “SMP” means the instrument to be prepared for a Sub-project in accordance with the procedures and requirements under the SMF, satisfactory to the Bank, which details: (a) the measures to be taken during the implementation and operation of the Sub-project to avoid, minimize, mitigate or offset adverse social impacts (including health and safety issues), or to reduce them to acceptable levels; and (b) the actions needed to implement these measures, as such plan may be revised, updated or supplemented in accordance with the provisions of Section I.D.4 of the Schedule to the Project Agreement; and such term includes any annexes, appendices, or schedules to such plan; and “SMPs” means more than one such SMP, and collectively, all of them.
