Span of Control definition

Span of Control means the number of individuals a supervisor is responsible for and is usually expressed as the ratio of supervisors to individuals. Under the NIMS, an appropriate span of control is between 1:3 and 1:7.
Span of Control means any equipment, software, system, network or other infrastructure and those areas of functionality and availability with respect to, or utilized to provide, services, as applicable, that are under the control of a Party, its subcontractors or agents.
Span of Control means all operational activities that are necessary to occur at ESTABLISHMENT and component suppliers, if any, that are related to the procurement and manufacture of the Product.

More Definitions of Span of Control

Span of Control means Telesign and Client shall only be responsible for those aspects, components, inputs, and interfaces that fall directly under the control of their respective infrastructure and personnel up to their respective Service Borders. The following are outside the Span of Control and will release both parties from the obligations set forth in this Schedule:
Span of Control means all facets of the AAMVA Service and its associated provisioning systems, including any Incidents, other than Incidents that are caused solely by the Participating Jurisdictions or third party telecommunications providers. AAMVA shall make commercially reasonable efforts to provide Early Warning at least ten (10) Business Daysnotice of downtime and/or maintenance windows of the Participating Jurisdictions.
Span of Control is defined as those areas of functionality that are under the direct control of Motricity. This includes functionality that is provided by external vendors or suppliers with whom Motricity has a contractual relationship.
Span of Control means the Convergys Span of Control shall be deemed the hardware, software, and network that resides within the physical confines of a Convergys Data Center.

For example, a task with a span of control of 1:3 means that one Qualified Individual can observe and direct three nonqualified individuals performing that task.
Span of Control means the Convergys Span of Control shall be deemed the hardware, software, and network that resides within the physical confines of a Convergys Data Center. "Special Processing" shall mean any process that requires Convergys or Client to adjust the production environment in an exception mode in order for that process to successfully complete. "System" shall mean (a) Convergys' proprietary Atlys(R) software in use for Client pursuant to this Agreement, (b) any Releases of Atlys(R) which Convergys implements for Client, and (c) Third Party Software provided by Convergys to provide the Data Processing Services to Client pursuant to this Agreement. "Term" shall have the meaning set forth in Section 2.0 of this Agreement. "Termination Fee" shall mean the fee to be paid by Client to Convergys in the event Client terminates this Agreement pursuant to Section 19.1 or Section 30.2 of the MSA. "TDMA" or "Time Division Multiple Access" is a digital transmission scheme that multiplexes three signals over a single channel. "Third Party" shall mean any party other than Client or Convergys. "Third Party Software" shall mean any program, or component of a program, that is licensed to Client or Convergys by a Third Party and is necessary to provide the Services. The Convergys provided Third Party Software as of the Effective Date is listed in Attachment C to Work Order 2002-01. "Time and Materials" shall mean a Convergys and Client billing arrangement in which Client is billed the actual time and materials Convergys expended in completing a request.
