Foreword. The FIA World Endurance Championship (hereinafter “the Championship”), reserved for prototype (Hypercar, LMP2) and GT (LMGTE Am LMGT3) cars is the result of cooperation between the FIA and the ACO. It comprises primarily a title of Hypercar World Endurance Champion and a title of Hypercar World Endurance Drivers’ Champion. It is made up of the Competitions registered on the calendar of the said Championship and for which the ASNs and the organisers (see Article 2.1) have signed an Organisation Agreement, as specified in Article 2.2 of the present Regulations (see Appendix 1 – Part D). The Championship is governed by the FIA International Sporting Code and its appendices (hereinafter “the Code” (with the exception of Article 251 of Appendix J – Classification and definitions of cars), those clauses of the Circuit General Prescriptions that are not contrary to the present regulations, the present Sporting Regulations specific to the Championship, the applicable Technical Regulations and their appendices, and the specific regulations applicable to the Competitions. All the participating parties (FIA, ASNs, organisers, Competitors and circuits) undertake to apply as well as observe the rules governing the Championship.
