185 Workdays. School year work calendar and inservice days shall be the same as the calendar for certificated teachers. The District reserves the right to transfer counselors between school sites and grade spans. If a counselor is involuntarily transferred such that their workdays are reduced, the counselor shall continue to work the previous year’s workdays. If the counselor remains in the assignment the following year, then the workdays shall be reduced to correspond to the assigned grade span.

  • Shift Work Shift work is work not in excess of ordinary hours (ie 38 hours per week), but carried out wholly or partly between the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am, Monday to Friday. Shift work is work scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the shift. Employees required to work shift work will be paid at time and one quarter of the ordinary rate per hour for ordinary hours worked.

  • Holidays Worked When an employee works on a calendar holiday, he/she shall receive payment of the holiday at the regular rate and in addition, at the discretion of the Employer, (1) be paid at the rate of time and one half for hours actually worked on the holiday or (2) be given compensatory time off equal to one and one half the number of hours actually worked.
