Purpose The parties agree that the following evaluation system for all employees in the bargaining unit is to be implemented in a manner consistent with good faith and mutual respect, and, as defined in WAC 392-191A-050: To acknowledge the critical importance of teacher quality in impacting student growth and support professional learning as the underpinning of the new evaluation system. To identify, in consultation with classroom teachers, particular areas in which the professional performance is distinguished, proficient, basic or unsatisfactory, and particular areas in which the classroom teacher, needs to improve his/her performance. To assist classroom teachers who have identified areas needing improvement, in making those improvements.
