A. Employee Evaluation. Purpose The parties agree that the following evaluation system for all employees in the bargaining unit is to be implemented in a manner consistent with good faith and mutual respect, and, as defined in WAC 392-191A-050:  To acknowledge the critical importance of teacher quality in impacting student growth and support professional learning as the underpinning of the new evaluation system.  To identify, in consultation with classroom teachers, particular areas in which the professional performance is distinguished, proficient, basic or unsatisfactory, and particular areas in which the classroom teacher, needs to improve his/her performance.  To assist classroom teachers who have identified areas needing improvement, in making those improvements.
