The "Abolished positions" clause defines the process and consequences when a job position within an organization is eliminated. Typically, this clause outlines the criteria for determining which positions are subject to abolition, the notice period or severance arrangements for affected employees, and any rights to reassignment or priority for other vacancies. Abolished Positions. Employees whose positions are abolished shall exercise their seniority to displace employees with less seniority, as provided for in Article 11.8, provided they have the qualifications required.
