Academic and Disciplinary Standards. Students from the Home Institution will have all rights and privileges enjoyed by other students of the Host Institution, according to law, during their participation in the Program. Students shall be subject to the rules, regulations, and discipline of the Host Institution and will be governed by the same policies that apply to all other students at the Host Institution. The Host Institution reserves the right to dismiss a Student for disciplinary, academic or other reasons before the end of the period of exchange, including reasons related to class attendance or academic performance. The Host Institution will consult with the Home Institution before finalizing such action. If a Student is dismissed before the end of the period of exchange, the Host Institution will notify the Home Institution of the Student’s last date of attendance. This dismissal may result in the revocation of the visa issued for the Student to study in the country of the Host Institution or deportation of the Student. Additionally, the Host Institution will notify the Home Institution of any student issues that may violate the Home Institution’s policies.

Academic and Disciplinary Standards. Student understands and agrees that: • The Hoosier Link program requires completion within three semesters (fall 2019, spring 2020, and summer 2020). • The student must be enrolled full-time during each semester enrolled at Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington in order to be eligible for Hoosier Link admission. • Academic and financial aid advisors are consulted prior to adjusting the course schedule. • The minimum grade point average that must be maintained is 2.5 and students must achieve individual grades of regular “C” or above in nine or more transferable credit hours each semester to maintain eligibility. • A grade point average below 2.5 results in academic probation; students have one semester to meet the 2.5 expectation. • Dropping below a 2.0 cumulative grade point average creates risk of dismissal from Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. • Any conduct records incurred while in the Hoosier Link program may remain on file and become part of the student’s Indiana University student record. Probation/Dismissal Student understands that: • Failure to meet academic and/or disciplinary standards may result in dismissal from the Hoosier Link program. • Not meeting program benchmarks after a probationary semester may result in dismissal from the program. • Students placed on disciplinary probation, suspension or dismissal may not be considered for admission to Indiana University until such sanctions are lifted or the behavioral committee at Indiana University approves admission. • The Hoosier Link transfer opportunity is not applicable to students dismissed from the program for any reason. Additional Guidelines Hoosier Link students must comply with the following program guidelines. Failure to do so may result in program dismissal: • Students may not enroll in any Distance Learning courses (internet, hybrid, etc.) without prior approval from Hoosier Link staff. • Attendance is required at all meetings scheduled with/by Hoosier Link staff. • Participation in residence center meetings and programs is expected. • Students will maintain good financial status at both Indiana University Bloomington and Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. • Students are accountable to policies at Indiana University Bloomington and Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington. Any violations may result in probation, suspension, or dismissal from either or both institutions.

  • MAINTENANCE OF CLASSROOM CONTROL AND DISCIPLINE A. When, in the judgment of a teacher, a student is, by behavior, seriously disrupting the instructional program to the detriment of other students, the teacher may exclude the student temporarily from the classroom and refer the student to the building administrator for appropriate intervention. At the request of the referring teacher, an administrator will communicate the status of a disciplinary action within two (2) work days of the request.

  • DISCHARGE AND DISCIPLINE 14.09 (a) No employee shall be discharged or disciplined except for just and sufficient cause.
