Acceptance Statement. I hereby certify that (name of student) has been offered a position with Signature of Authorized Representative Date ★★ ★★ You are receiving this “Employment Agreement Information Sheet” and “AWE Employment Agreement” because you have offered a job to at least one AWE student. As a service to our students and as required by the U.S. government, we verify all offers of employment to ensure they are genuine. The information you provide on the Employment Agreement (see reverse) is then given to the student, so they are completely aware of the details of their employment with you. Once they confirm that they officially accept your job offer, we then begin to process their paperwork necessary for their J-1 visa. 1) AWE provides the student with the paperwork necessary for his/her J-1 visa. The student then must apply for the J-1 visa at the U.S. Embassy in their home country who makes the decision whether or not to grant them the visa. The J-1 visa is valid for 4 months and cannot be extended. 2) Students are eligible to apply for and receive a Social Security number. Please assist the student in obtaining a Social Security number when necessary. 3) Students are responsible for the cost of transportation from their U.S. arrival airport to your place of employment. 4) The employer should contact AWE (preferably by e-mail: xxxx@xxxxxx.xxx), if the student doesn’t arrive at all, is fired or leaves, so we can update our records. 5) The employer is responsible for contacting the student before he/she departs for the U.S. by e-mail, phone, or letter to inform them of any items they need to bring with them, such as black pants, sneakers, etc. It is also a good idea to let them know what the weather/temperature in your area is like during the summer, so they can pack accordingly. 6) Please encourage the student to inform AWE of the address where they are living within 10 days of arriving in the U.S. Students can go to the AWE website (xxx.xxxxxx.xxx) and fill out the “Register my arrival and U.S. address for SEVIS” webform. All AWE students must notify AWE (by webform, phone, e-mail, fax) of their U.S. address as required by the U.S. Department of State. 7) When a student has completed his/her work with you, it is your responsibility to provide a W-4 form so they can file a request with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service to get a refund of the taxes paid, if any were deducted from their paychecks.   • ACCEPTANCE/REJECTION/CANCELLATION The County reserves the right to accept or to reject any or all bids and to make the award to that bidder who, in the opinion of the County, will be in the best interest of and/or the most advantageous to the County. The County also reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder who has previously failed in the proper performance of an award or to deliver on time contracts of a similar nature or who, in the County’s opinion, is not in a position to perform properly under this award. The decision to cancel a solicitation cannot be the basis for a protest pursuant to the Orange County Code.

  • Acceptance Period For all Services provided under this Agreement, Vendor grants to Citizens a thirty (30) calendar day acceptance period ("Acceptance Period") commencing on the date completed Services are delivered to Citizens. Citizens shall have the right to reject the Services, in whole or in part, during the Acceptance Period for Vendor’s failure to meet the specifications associated with the delivered Services, with such determination to be made in Citizens’ reasonable judgment. At the end of the Acceptance Period, if Citizens has not rejected the Services, the Services shall be deemed to be accepted by Citizens; provided, however, that Citizens’ acceptance of the Services shall not be deemed a waiver of any of Citizens’ warranty rights as expressly provided in this Agreement.

  • ACCEPTANCE AND REJECTION a. Buyer shall accept the Services or give Seller notice of rejection within a reasonable time after the date of delivery. No payment, prior test, inspection, passage of title, any failure or delay in performing any of the foregoing, or failure to discover any defect or other nonconformance shall relieve Seller of any obligations under this Contract or impair any rights or remedies of Buyer. b. If Seller delivers defective or non-conforming Services, Buyer may at its option and at Seller's expense: (i) require Seller to promptly reperform, correct or replace the Services; (ii) correct the Services; or (iii) obtain replacement Services from another source. Return to Seller of defective or non-conforming Services and redelivery to Buyer of corrected or replaced Services shall be at Seller's expense. c. Seller shall not redeliver corrected or rejected Services without disclosing the former rejection or requirement for correction. Seller shall disclose any corrective action taken. All repair, replacement and other correction and redelivery shall be completed as Buyer may reasonably direct.
