Common use of Accumulated Sick Leave Provisions Clause in Contracts

Accumulated Sick Leave Provisions. (a) In the event of the death of an employee, there shall be paid to his/her surviving spouse or estate, an amount equivalent to his/her salary for one-half the number of days standing to his/her credit for sick leave, subject to a limit of an amount not in excess of what he/she would have earned in six (6) months at the rate received by him/her immediately prior to his/her death.
