Accumulation of Rest Days. On positions where it is not reasonably practical to provide regular relief each week, 1 rest day for which relief is not provided may be accumulated and granted at a later date. Such accumulation shall not exceed 5 days, and rest days so accumulated shall be allowed consecutively when 5 days have been accumulated. However, the accumulation of a greater number of rest days and their allowance at longer intervals may be arranged by mutual agreement between the Officers of the Company and Union. Positions on which rest days are to be accumulated shall be so bulletined.

Accumulation of Rest Days. Rest days of assignments at individual work locations or of gangs may be accumulated by agreement between the Carrier and the General Chairman.
Accumulation of Rest Days. When at a work location there is not sufficient work to warrant the establishment of a regular rest day relief assignment consisting of five days work within a work week, rest days of positions at such work location may be accumulated by agreement between the Railway Company and the General Chairman of the organization involved, and when so agreed to the following provisions shall govern: An employee accumulating rest days may be required to work on one or both of his assigned rest days within the hours of his regular work day assignment for not to exceed ten rest days and when so required to work will be compensated at the straight time rate of the position occupied for work performed on rest days of such position within the hours of the regular work day assignment. When not to exceed ten rest days have been accumulated be the performance of work on assigned rest days at straight time rate, such an employee will be relieved for the number of rest days so accumulated or paid the difference between straight time rate and time and one-half rate for the number of rest days on which he performed work at straight time rate. The employee relieving an employee who has accumulated rest days may be required to work on the assigned rest days of the position occupied while relieving such employee and when so required to work will be compensated in the manner provided for in this paragraph (i).

  • Accumulation 1. Originating goods or materials from the territory of a Party, incorporated into a good in the territory of the other Party, shall be considered to be originating in the territory of the other Party. 2. Production carried out by a producer in the territory of a Party may be accumulated with the production of one or more producers in the territory of that Party or the other Party, in such way that the production of the materials incorporated into the good shall be considered as carried out by that producer, provided that the good satisfies the requirements established in Article 3.1 and all other applicable requirements in this Chapter.

  • Holiday Falling on a Day of Rest ‌ (a) When a paid holiday falls on a regular full-time employee's day of rest, the employee shall be entitled to a day off with pay in lieu of the holiday. (b) If a regular full-time employee is called in to work on the day designated as the lieu day pursuant to (a) above, he/she shall be compensated at time and one-half for all hours worked.

  • MEAL PERIODS AND REST BREAKS 4.1 Except when required for urgent or emergency work and except as provided in 4.2 no employee shall be required to work for more than five hours continuously without being allowed a meal break of not less than half an hour. 4.2 An employee unable to be relieved from work for a meal break shall be allowed to have a meal on duty and this period shall be regarded as working time. 4.3 Except where provided for in 4.2 an employee unable to take a meal after five hours’ duty shall be paid at overtime rates from the expiry of five hours until the time when a meal can be taken. 4.4 During the meal break or rest breaks prescribed above, free tea, coffee, milk and sugar shall be supplied by the employer. Where it is impractical to supply tea, coffee, milk and sugar free of charge, an allowance of $1.48 per week in lieu shall be paid. This allowance shall continue during all periods of leave except leave without pay. 4.5 Rest breaks of 10 minutes each for morning tea, afternoon tea or supper, where these occur during duty, shall be allowed as time worked.

  • Accumulation of Seniority The seniority of an employee shall continue to accrue during an absence due to: (a) accident or illness; (b) maternity or parental leave; (c) any unpaid leave of absence of up to twelve (12) months; (d) any paid leave of absence provided for under this Agreement.
