Admission of Observers. (i) The Council may invite any non-Party government to be represented at any meeting as an observer and may determine rules on the rights and obligations of observers, in particular with respect to the provision of information.
(ii) The Council may also invite any of the organizations referred to in paragraph 1(d) to attend any meeting as an observer.

Introducing this agenda item, Mr Xxxxxxxx informed those present that four of the AEWA NGO partner organisations were permanent observers to the Technical Committee, all of which played a critical role by contributing additional expertise towards the delivery of the work of the Committee: the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT), BirdLife International, the Federation of Associations for Hunting and Conservation in the EU (FACE) and Migratory Birds of the Western Palearctic (OMPO).
