Agriculture and Marketing. In order to enable poor households to become food self- sufficient and to generate increased farm incomes, this sub-component shall support the following activities with respect to Upland Agriculture, Lowland Agriculture, Livestock Development, Capacity Building for National Agricultural and Forestry Extension Service (NAFES) Methodology and its implementation, Irrigation and Marketing in order to support farmers to use improved and sustainable farming systems: - In upland agriculture: establishing wetland rice where upland valley floors are available; participatory demonstrations of new farming systems on xxxxxx’x fields, based on sound technical and proven principles; and support for activity groups in using improved technology. - In lowland agriculture: regular infusion of fresh genetic materials in the form of improved rice seeds; training of groups of farmers in the techniques necessary for the production of rice seeds in the main paddy rice growing districts; and provision of assistance to new migrants in land clearance and preparation and construction of fishponds. - In livestock development: strengthening of the vaccine supply chain; training and equipping of new village veterinary workers (VVWs); establishment of private- sector pharmacies on a pilot basis; support to raising the awareness amongst farm families of the benefits of vaccinating and administering anthelmintics and support to group-operated fish breeding stations to supply fingerlings to stock fishponds in the Programme Villages. - In capacity building for NAFES methodology and its implementation: establishment of a network of village extension worker (VEWs) and VVWs; and support to extension groups for up taking improved technologies. - In irrigation development: survey, design and construction of small-scale gravity schemes (Implemented in AP only); support to irrigation user groups in planning, operation and maintenance of schemes; support to groups of farmers to establish bunded rain fed fields for paddy rice cultivation, terrace construction and micro-irrigation schemes in upland valley floors.

  • Sales and Marketing Subdistributor shall market, promote, and solicit orders for the Products to prospective and existing Customers (excluding the Excluded Customers) consistent with good business practice and the highest professional standards in the industry, in each case using its best efforts to maximize Product sales volume in the Territory in accordance with Distributor’s Product marketing strategies, channel and pricing guidelines, and sales policies, and in a manner that reflects favorably at all times on the Products and the good name, goodwill, and reputation of Distributor;

  • Promotion and Marketing For the purpose of promotion and marketing, the Borrower hereby authorizes and consents to the reproduction, disclosure and use by the Lenders and the Agent of its name, identifying logo and the Facilities. The Borrower acknowledges and agrees that the Lenders shall be entitled to determine, in their sole discretion, whether to use such information; that no compensation will be payable by the Lenders or the Agent in connection therewith; and that the Lenders and the Agent shall have no liability whatsoever to it or any of its employees, officers, directors, affiliates or shareholders in obtaining and using such information as contemplated herein.

  • Skills Development The Company acknowledges the changing pace of technology in the electrical contracting industry and the need for employees to understand those changes and have the necessary skill requirements to keep the Company at the forefront of the industry. The Parties to this Agreement recognise that in order to increase the efficiency, productivity and competitiveness of the Company, a commitment to training and skill development is required. Accordingly, the parties commit themselves to: i) Developing a more highly skilled and flexible workforce. ii) Providing employees with career opportunities through appropriate training to acquire the additional skills as required by the Company. Taking into account; The current and future skill needs of the Company. The size, structure and nature of the Company. The need to develop vocational skills relevant to the Company and the Electrical Contracting Industry. Where, by agreement between the employee and employer, an employee undertakes training providing skills, which are not a company specific requirement, any time spent in the completion of this training shall be unpaid.

  • Manufacturing and Marketing Rights The Company has not granted rights to manufacture, produce, assemble, license, market, or sell its products to any other person and is not bound by any agreement that affects the Company's exclusive right to develop, manufacture, assemble, distribute, market, or sell its products.

  • Agricultural cooperation The aims of the cooperation on agriculture will be: (a) to promote sustainable rural development through the exchange of experience, generation of partnership and execution of projects in areas of mutual interest such as: agricultural innovation and technology transfer for the development of small farming, the conservation and management of the water resource for agricultural use, the application of good agricultural and agro industrial practices, including gender approach in development policies and strategies, among others; (b) to promote the exchange of relevant information for agricultural exports between the 2 markets; and (c) to develop a training program addressed to leader producers, technicians and professionals for the application of new technologies in order to increase and improve agriculture and animal husbandry productivity and competitiveness, in particular of value added products.

  • Marketing Services The Manager shall provide advice and assistance in the marketing of the Vessels, including the identification of potential customers, identification of Vessels available for charter opportunities and preparation of bids.

  • Training and Professional Development 11.1 The Employer will develop and maintain an employee training and development plan and provide such plan to the Union upon request. Staff training is intended to provide an opportunity for classified staff employees for training sponsored by the University Training and Development and the UW Medical Centers Organizational Development and Training. Education/Professional Leave is intended to facilitate employee access to continuing education opportunities. Training and educational/professional leave may be used for the purpose of improving job performance, maintaining and increasing proficiency, preparing staff for greater responsibility, or increasing promotional opportunities within the framework of staff positions available at the University. 11.2 Any release time for training for employees accepted for such classes shall be in accordance with the Executive Order (currently No. 52) governing this matter. In the event that two or more employees request the same training period and supervision must limit the number of persons who may participate at one time due to work requirements, the selection will be made on a mutually agreeable basis within the department. 11.3 The training program is a proper subject for discussion by either departmental or University-wide Joint Union/Management Committees. 11.4 If the Employer requires an employee to receive training, reimbursement will be provided in accordance with the University travel rules. Employee attendance at Employer required training, either during or outside working hours, will be considered time worked and compensated in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. 11.5 Employee attendance at training not required by the Employer and not covered by Executive Order 52, either on approved leave from or outside of working hours, will be voluntary and not considered time worked.
