Air Credits. The Company shall give air credits to employees where, in its opinion, credits are merited by their contribution to the performance in accordance with its current policy.

Air Credits. 13.1 Air credits will be given in accordance with the normal practice in each location/area. The following is a guideline: 13.1.1 An eligible employee's name shall be included in the credits on all broadcasts with which the employee has been involved. 13.1.2 When an employee is authorized by the Corporation to make a personal contribution to the program, extending beyond the normal requirements of the employee's professional functions, the employee will be entitled to receive an additional credit. 13.2 CMG members will receive credit on CBC web sites in accordance with normal practice in each area. Current practice is for online news staff to receive credit in an online masthead, and for current affairs contributors to receive a byline. Audio and visual material encoded for the web will include credits, if such credits were part of the material to be encoded. 13.3 An employee has the right to refuse a credit. 13.4 The Corporation undertakes to ensure that no person shall take or be given any credit in a capacity covered by this Agreement unless that person was hired, upgraded or contracted in a capacity covered by this Agreement during the time covered by that credit. 13.5 Where credits are given and where feasible, the Union logo will appear in the credits of television programs that are solely Corporation programs. The Union logo will also appear in the credits area of the news section of XXX.xx.

The Company shall give video credit to the writer of each television program and audio credit to the writer of each radio program of fifteen (15) minutes or longer in duration, except where the special circumstances of the show make it inappropriate to give such credit or where the News Writer prefers otherwise and provided the Union consents. 2. The forms of credit available to the Company for News Writers shall be as follows: Writer(s), Written by, Produced and written by, Written and produced by, Newswriter(s), Documentary script by, Narration written by, Special material written by, Special script material by, Continuity written by, Interview material written by, Special material by. 3. Credit to News Writers shall not be given in any form other than those listed above, except upon specific prior agreement between the Company and the Union. 4. On a program broadcast two or more times a week where written by the same News Writer, credit need be given only once per week on such programs to said News Writer. Where such credit is not given in any week credits must be given twice in the following week. 5. With respect to a strip news program broadcast six or seven times a week, a News Writer who is entitled to a credit for services performed on that strip news program only on weekdays shall receive his/her credit on one of such weekdays, and a News Writer who is entitled to a credit for services performed only on a Saturday and/or Sunday shall receive his/her credit on one of such days. In no case will credit be given to a writer more than once during a week for any combination of days worked on that strip news program in that week. 6. Where credit is inadvertently omitted or the exigencies of time or other reasons beyond the control of the Company make such credit impractical, failure to give credit shall not be considered a breach of this Agreement. 7. Any News Writer assigned as Acting Editor will be entitled to credit on the same basis and in the same manner as a staff News Editor covered by the New York Staff Radio and Television News Editors Supplement.

Air Credits. On all television programs produced by the Employer to which air credit is given to anyone other than the producer, director, members of the cast, writer and set designer, air credit shall be given to the Technical Director, subject to the following: Section 7.01 (a) The character and placement of any such credit is to be within the discretion of the Employer. Section 7.01 (b) On programs broadcast more than once per week to which the same Technical Director is assigned, credit need be given only once each week. With respect to programs not produced by the Employer, CBS agrees that if the producer of any such program desires to give credit to the Technical Director, CBS will interpose no objection. Section 7.01 (c) The audio men (in no case more than one) shall receive air credit subject to the same conditions and limitations as those governing credit to the Technical Director. Section 7.01 (d) On kinescope recordings and video tape recordings produced by the Employer an IBEW “bug” or label will be displayed.

Air Credits. The Company agrees to include full technical credits in sustaining (local) television shows as follows: i) full technical credits for each Friday for a daily series (e.g., News); ii) full technical credits for individual weekly shows (e.g., Regional). Shows produced for client contractors (CTV, CBC, etc.) must adhere to technical credit policy of client producer.
