Common use of Alternate Schedules Clause in Contracts

Alternate Schedules. Employees who have requested or chosen to work alternate schedules who are normally scheduled to work more than eight (8) hours on a day observed as a holiday may use vacation leave, compensatory time, or leave without pay to make up the difference between the employee’s normally scheduled shift and the eight (8) hours of holiday pay. Full-time employees who are required by the University to work a schedule other than eight (8) hours will be paid at their straight time rate for the hours they are scheduled to work on that day.

Employees who have requested or chosen to work an alternate schedules who are normally schedule whose regularly scheduled to work more than days exceed eight (8) hours on in a day observed as a holiday may use vacation leave, compensatory time, or leave without pay time to make up the difference between the employee’s normally their scheduled shift work day and the eight (8) hours of holiday pay. FullEmployees will receive holiday pay for all of the holidays listed above, even if the holiday does not fall on the employee’s regularly-time employees who are required by the University to work a schedule other than eight (8) hours will be paid at their straight time rate for the hours they are scheduled to work on that dayworkday.
