Common use of Amount of Paid Personal Leave Clause in Contracts

Amount of Paid Personal Leave. (a) The amount of personal leave to which a full-time employee is entitled depends on how long they have worked for the employer and accrues as follows: (i) up to 7 hours and 36 minutes, for each month of service in the first year of service (provided that where an employee works regular shifts of 9.1 paid hours or longer the employee will receive 7.6 hours per month of service or 10 days leave, whichever provides the greater benefit); (ii) up to 106 hours and 24 minutes in each year in the second, third and fourth years of service; and (iii) up to 159 hours and 36 minutes in the fifth and following years of service. (b) In respect of part-time employees, the entitlement shall be on a pro rata basis of time worked.
