Common use of Annual Paid Sick Leave Clause in Contracts

Annual Paid Sick Leave. (a) An employee is eligible to accumulate sick leave with full pay at the rate of two (2) days for each month of service. Notwithstanding Clause an employee hired after May is eligible to accumulate sick leave with full pay at the rate of one (1) day for each month of service. The maximum number of days of sick leave which may be awarded to an employee during any consecutive twenty (20) year period of service shall not exceed four hundred and eighty (480) days. Notwithstanding Clause the maximum number of days of sick leave which may be awarded to an employee hired after May during any consecutive twenty (20) year period of service shall not exceed two hundred and days.
