Application of Salary Schedule. 7.4.1 Initial Placement 7.4.1.1 Nothing in this agreement shall prevent a prospective employee from being hired at a salary above the minimum required by this Article. 7.4.1.2 In the determination of initial step placement on the salary schedule for each employee one (1) step will normally be credited for every year of relevant full-time teaching experience. Consideration will be given to other related work experience, and further consideration will be given to relevant educational attainment which is in excess of the accreditation normally required for the position, e.g., advanced degrees in a relevant subject area, Instructor's Diploma, Teaching Certificate. 7.4.1.3 The onus is on the prospective employee to submit, prior to appointment, documentation in proof of instructional/work experience for credit. 7.4.1.4 The Association shall be advised of the name and initial placement of all employees upon confirmation of appointment. 7.4.1.5 An employee who feels that an anomaly or inequity exists in his/her initial placement on the salary schedule may, within ninety
