Approving Union Leave Requests. ‌ After verifying the validity of the request with a Union representative and the accuracy of the time being requested, the University Chief of Police or his/her designee, will approve Union leave unless extraordinary circumstances require that such approval be denied due to staffing needs. Approval of leave under this section shall not be unreasonably withheld.
